Watch The Batman: The Dark Knight Trailer

Here is the new trailer for Batman: The Dark Knight, out next summer. It includes some of the first looks at Heath Ledger in his debut as the Joker and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes 2.0, after Katie Holmes did not reprise her role.
Returning are Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman.

Christian Bale is HOT and Heath Ledger's interpretation of the Joker is going to make moviegoers forgot about Jack Nicholson's version. Jack who? Yay!! Looks great!!! Can't wait!!!

I wonder if they were thinking of the Black Dahlia--"throat slashed from ear to ear in a grotesque parody of a smile"--at all.

I'm also thinking of the late executed John Wayne Gacy in his clown costume, after a rainstorm....can't wait for the movie.

Christian Bale is terrific in everything he does.

And this dark vision of the Batman series is the way it ought to be.

Ledger looks like he'll be great, but the Joker in the graphic novel Arkahma Asylum is still the best Joker ever.
