That jet stream is not coming out of the black hole as was first suggested by the article. It is originating from an area "near" the black hole. Perhaps it is the black hole's pressure relief system.

Kinda make the atrocities mankind is doing to this planet seem insignificant.

If such is true, then the theory of black holes is null and void.

It is utterly idiotic to describe processes in Nature in anthrocentric terms such as violence. While most scientist just exercise their dorky sense of humor (quarks names: charm, strange,top, bottom, Big Bang etc)
But lay people accept these terms on face value and attempt to draw some conclusions from it, which is just plain silly.

I'm skeptical of the interpretation of what is happening.

Black Holes generally take, not give. They are so dense that not even light can "escape" [be seen] beyond their gravitational 'shells'. Hence the term "Black Hole". The "Hole" part of the name is misleading, at best, and incorrect at worst. "Disk" or something similar would be more accurate, although "disk" often suggests only two dimensions and Black Holes are multi-dimensional.

In this instance, it seems more likely that parts of the visible galaxy [left] are being drawn into the Black Hole.

It seems very sci-fi to believe the Black Hole has declared war on the visible galaxy. I've seen no generally accepted research, or even unresolved conjecture, to suggest that is possible.

I wonder if Kusinich saw it too? Were the little green men waving hi?

Therefore, what we are seeing now/here is something that happened then/there millions of years ago, before people had brains, much less the character to know what to do with those brains.

Life is such an anomaly in the Universe because the content of the universe demands that every thing reverts back to its original inert form. It may be wishful thinking to proclaim that the universe is full of life and intelligent life forms.
Instead, it would be better to assume that we are unintended, unwelcomed strangers in a hostile environment, and that we are the only conscious beings. The chance of our emerging in such a hostile universe was billions to one.
Therefore, we must presume that we are the emerging gods of the horizons we perceive. As the only gods in the unknowing, uncaring universe, we must consciously strive to understand, harness, and control the forces of our domain before those same forces overwhelm us.
Our only direction must be through the ends of scientific quest, rational analysis, and historical knowledge to learn and develop to fulfill our destiny as the explorers, discoverers and recorders of the universe.
