The Republican trashing of Hillary begins. We all knew this was coming. I thought they'd wait to see if she gets the nomination.

Wasn't it her campaign warning everyone about how Obama would be attacked? Ironically the only person to attack Obama so far is Hillary.

This "preview" is mild compared to what they'll say about her. I support Obama, not Hillary, but this video goes way too far. Especially when they say she has no regard for the Constitution. After the current administration has used the Constitution as a kleenex you would think the last thing conservatives would do is accuse someone else of being against the Constitution.

The deed is done - there are websites collecting dirt on the Clintons as well as on Obama. I have no desire to attach a link to any of them - but they are out there as well as paid detectives no doubt.

Lesson learned about going dirty - both sides lose. Richardson and Biden were the only two Democrats who pledged a year ago not to go dirty. Biden was a victim of it in 1998 - when he mispoke a quote from someone else, who in every other speach he always quoted the person. That misquote was used by Dukasis in a smear ad over and over and over again. Biden had to bow out. However Bush I used the same distortion of truth against Dukasis in the general election and distorted everything from Willie Horton to the tank scene, etc. Those distorted ads were played over and over again and Bush was able to come from behind and beat Dukasis and the rest is history. Dukasis said this decision was one of the ones he regretted most - going negative as the same tactics were later used against him. He did fire the key people who had done this in his campaign, but it didn't stop the Republicans from believing they had a free pass - it was okeh to use the very tactics against him he had used against a fellow Democrat.

Sorry lesson to be learned here in 2008 - history repeating itself.
