Robin Roberts Taking Rest Of Year Off From "GMA"

'GOOD Morning America" host Robin Roberts is taking the rest of the year off to recover from the effects of breast cancer and chemotherapy.

"I wanted to let you know that I have decided to take off the remainder of this year to allow my body time to heal and rest. I'm doing well and looking forward to spending this time with my family and loved ones," Roberts wrote yesterday on the ABC News Web site just before heading out for her sixth round of chemotherapy.

I'm sure Ms. Roberts could care less what I think, and I seriously doubt she'll ever glance at this page.

That said, I'm a big fan and wish her a speedy recovery.

We love Robin in this house. She's one of the reasons we watch in the morning. I had a friend who went through what Robin's going through, but could not afford to take off work for the chemo. I'm glad Robin can take some time to get well and hope she comes back to us soon.
