Romney Attended Planned Parenthood Fundraiser

Mitt Romney attended a fund-raising reception for Planned Parenthood in 1994 in conjunction with a $150 donation his wife made to the organization -- notwithstanding Romney's contention that he had "no recollection" of the circumstances under which his wife made gave money to the abortion-rights group.

In the photograph obtained by ABC News, Romney and his wife, Ann, are shown in a yellow-and-white tent chatting with local political activists, including Nicki Nichols Gamble, who was then president and CEO of the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.

The fact remains: His darling wife wrote the check (Perhaps that is why they dont have FIFTEEN kids) WHY would she be writing a check to Planned Parenthood for anything other than to pander for hubby's votes? Sounds like Der Mitty doesnt have full control of his own home like he says he does. Way to Go Mrs Romney!

I would sure as heck recall whether or not I had attended a pro-life or pro-choice fundraiser just 14 years ago. But then, I don't do many (or any) of those sorts of gigs.

But if bouncing around from Pretty/Elite/Rich Snobby People Event to Pretty/Elite/Rich Snobby People Event was what I did 150 days a year (i.e., if I was one of the Pretty/Elite/Rich Snobbish Peoples), I might well snobbishly attend many such Pretty/Elite/Rich Snobby People Events just so that I could see and be seen by other Pretty/Elite/Rich Snobby Peoples, and not really give a rat's kiester about which particular event I was attending.

That said, I have no clew whether Romney is lying in this case.

Besides his obvious flip-flopping depending on which way the political winds are blowing, the thing that is more disconcerting is that it shows he has no management skills, despite his claims to be a great administrator. What candidate for president would not have had his staff go through all his past speeches, appearances, actions in office, etc. to see the inconsistencies and then address them at the inception so that they would not become issues later, as is the case now? The combination of being mealy mouthed and not being able to manage his campaign strategy is going to be deadly to his campaign.
