Iraqis Blame Us

Washington Post:

Iraqis of all sectarian and ethnic groups believe that the U.S. military invasion is the primary root of the violent differences among them, and see the departure of "occupying forces" as the key to national reconciliation, according to focus groups conducted for the U.S. military last month.

That is good news, according to a military analysis of the results. At the very least, analysts optimistically concluded, the findings indicate that Iraqis hold some "shared beliefs" that may eventually allow them to surmount the divisions that have led to a civil war.

Oh, please! Someone, who knows about "studies" please respond. Bush is an idiot, without doubt. He destabilized a country. That country depended upon a "dictator" because the religiously zealot factions in that country demanded a dictator. We've gone in, destablized these factions, and now they blame us. We are really not the root of their problems, however. We just let the "genie" out of the bottle. Now we have a mess on our hands. It will take another "dictator" to stabilize that conglomeration of religious nuts. If we step out, they will destroy themselves. If we don't step out, we'll be to blame for all their problems. Period.

Good News that ALL Iraqi,s HATE AMERICA? Are we paying to produce our next enemy?
I have predicted most of what has happened in Iraq...the last is that they will reconcile with Iran. Iran already is buddy-buddy with China and Russia..so there will be apowerful alliance who hates the US and controls lots of Oil and other Raw materials.
We desperately need to get away from Oil. Reagan was such a bonehead for destroying all the Alternative energy programs started by Nixon, Ford and Carter. Reagan's legacy as seen through the lens of history will be that of the President who held back Alternative Energy for decades.

Isn't this just typical? The survivors of our good war are complaining. They really do hate our goodness. They do hate our freedom.
The others aren't complaining. Just these ungrateful survivers.
Next time we must be more efficient!

So the good news is that Iraqi's have a 'shared belief' that the US Invasion/Occupation is the problem?

Looks like the majority of US Citizens share that same belief.

Huge friggin surprise there. It should be noted that despite the media's recent propaganda blitz, 2007 will still end up being the bloodiest year of the war so far:

Why? More troops = more targets.

Case in point - Iraqi PRTs [provincial reconstruction teams] instituted by the Iraqi government are working successfully, bringing prosperity, are creating jobs and facilitating political reconciliation in many parts of Iraq especially in the North. (Where the Turk threatens to destabilize everything, btw.)

These PRTs were completely rejected by the U.S two years ago but the Iraqi parliament went ahead despite U.S. interference to make them work, anyway.

This War for Oil is a load of bullshit and the faster the U.S. leaves Iraq, the faster the Iraqi will solve the huge mess we have caused them.

Some days..a "straight" news story is funnier than anything a comedian could say.
Military spokesman say this is good news!!
I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy myself knowing that Iraqis have "shared beliefs".
It's a beautiful vision...Shia, Sunni, and Kurd all peacefully cooperating..working together.... manufacturing and planting IED's,.....selflessly sharing their explosives and ammunition,.... carbombing marketplaces together...and just sharing the JOY of a job well done after blowing the shit out of our kids in uniform.......Ah! like a dream ....national reconciliation at last!!

I'll admit I had some doubts..but, you know...BUSH was right after all..... The surge IS working. And it feels SO GOOD knowing that we have the thanks of a grateful nation.

Call me crazy, but I see some more medals of freedom coming up. How I wish I could be there when Al-Malaki and Muqtada-al-Sadr get theirs.......
SHEESH!!.................tm

A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it.
George W. Bush
{Even Georgie Porgie knows it}

If you're sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign.
George W. Bush

Leadership to me means duty, honor, country. It means character, and it means listening from time to time.
George W. Bush
{Will George be listening this time}

The tyrant has fallen, and Iraq is free.
George W. Bush
{Georges definition of 'Tyrant' is too literal}

The people here don't think we should be there.
The people there don't think we should be there.

This is, of course, an obvious finding. A study by our military certainly isn't necessary in learning just how Iraqis feel about their invaders, over the past years. The sooner we pull out; the sooner they can go on & begin making rebuilding their shattered, wartorn lives ... without American dominance & oil-driven interference.

Say what you will about Saddam...he was a dictator; periodically he did "ethnic cleansing" to keep his country in line; he did not allow Al Qaeda or other hostile groups to operate in his country; a true dictator by democracy standards.

Once U.S. and coalition forces invaded Iraq, and took down Saddam...all hell broke loose. The civil war that Saddam staved off for years, broke out on a large scale, and will only get worse as long as the U.S. is interfering!!

Without a strong leader in Iraq, this sectarian violence will only grow; and a strong leader will NOT emerge as long as the U.S. wants to pull the strings, and force our type of democracy down their throats.

Solution: pull out of their country, and let them sort it out!! Yes - we are actually responsible for their civil unrest. OIL - we won't leave until the puppet government can take hold; and there doesn't seem to be an Iraqi leader with the balls to do it!!
