There is a simple and fundamental reason why Senator Obama should never become our president or vice-president which everybody can understand. In plain English, Senator Obama has been one of the "paymasters" for the war in Iraq which makes him co-responsible for everything that happened and will happen in that war.

When this story came out yesterday, my entire office was in a state of hysterics. This is the most ridiculous thing Obama has come up with yet. It is immature - it really shows his level of experience as a politician.

The democratic party will not allow this. There would be a big fight. If you want the Congress to cooperate, you don't start out this way. Jobs in the cabinet go to deserving members of one's own party.

It would be like promoting someone from outside of your company to a job that one of your employees worked hard for a long time to get. Management skills? Huh?

Is this really the time to bring in a President who is making fundamental mistakes before he even gets into office - when you need to do things right from the start? If he can't figure out who to put in his cabinet - how is he going to end the war?

Arnold most certainly did not lie. When the issue became center stage in Feb 04 with Mayor Newsom's actions in San Francisco, Arnold came out with a position on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show." He stated very clearly that he frankly could care less about same sex marriage. He stated that if the VOTERS overturned Prop 22 through the initiative processs, or if the California courts okayed same sex marriage, he would be fine with it and enforce the law.

The legislators are not the voters. Prop 22 had just passed with 61% of Californians approving the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. Arnold is big on following the will of the voters. Our legislators constantly try to circumvent things that the voters have approved with the same results: A gubernatorial veto.

Arnold did not lie. He kept his word and did exactly what he said he would do. Instead of expecting the courts and the legislators to do the heavy lifting for them, if gays wanted same sex marriage, they could get the initiative on the ballot and work for its passage. So far, no one has done that.

The state of California HAS NOT voted for same sex marriage since 2000 when the voters decisively voted to define marriage between a man and a woman.

Our whacked out legislators put up a lot of bills in Sacramento that go nowhere except to the trash heap. Arnold never said that he would sign one of these bills that goes against the will of the people.
