Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday that 2007 was a "busy and challenging year, but also a positive one" for U.S. foreign policy.

In a year-end news conference at the State Department, Rice said challenges remained in Iraq but noted they were ones of how to build on gains made in the past year.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA - Well it might be Condi's best year, but that ain't saying much.

I was reviewing the DOD FY2008 Global War on Terror Ammendment "slick brochure" under "Coalition of the Willing", remember that slogan? Well it has sort of degraded to a couple thousand troops from Poland and some Middle Eastern mercenaries paid for by the US taxpayer, have a read:

The Department of Defense requests $1.7 billion to continue support to U.S. Coalition partners for FY 2008. These programs enable
Coalition partners to participate in U.S.operations from which they would otherwise lack the financial means to do so. Coalition
support helps to reduce the stress on U.S. forces operating in the global war on terror.
The funding request for FY 2008 will:
¢ Ensure Pakistan, Jordan, and key cooperating nations are
reimbursed for support to U.S. operations;
¢ Provide funding for lift and sustain support to Coalition
partners in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other operations globally.

Jordan has been reimbursed $290 million for its critical support along the Jordan-Iraq border, which has resulted in greater force protection for U.S. forces operating in Iraq. Partners, including Georgia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan,Romania, Ukraine, and Lithuania, have received reimbursements with Coalition Support Funds. The support of these countries has reduced requirements for U.S. soldiers in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Here is a bipartisan question that could be asked of candidates, officials and spokespersons, whenever someone talks about winning a war, whichever one it is: What is the meaning of winning? If I recall correctly, World War Two was about stopping German and Japanese invasions. What are these wars about?

Welcome to my world
Won't you come on in
Miracles, I guess
Still happen now and then.

Step into my dreams
Leave reality behind
Welcome to my world
Built with George in mind.

Knock and the door will open
Seek not the truth, for you'll never find
Just ask, and you will be given
A punch from this fist of mine.

I'll be waiting here
With my arms unfurled
All liars and warmongers
Welcome to my world!

"Rice said challenges remained in Iraq..."

Wrong, Condi.

About 160,000 U.S. troops remain in Iraq. Also remaining are insurgent ambushes, IED attacks and suicide bombings. Also remaining is a crippled infrastructure -- spotty electricity, insufficient water delivery, broken institutions, yadda-yadda. Also remaining is a farce of a government.

(Psst... a little too soon to start rewriting history -- it's still on the TV. Save it for your book deal.)

Nice shoes, though.

REASONS WHY 2007 WAS POSITIVE FOR CONDI

Nobody's found out about her 'special" friend yet. (it ain't Gene Washington)

She talked Cheney out of whacking Cesar Chavez.

Bush didn't make her clean up the gum wrappers when she was under the big desk.

She finally quit having to write the Bush twins term papers.

No calls from SeaHag wanting her to cater a big Kennebunkport throw-down.

Convinced Secret Service to change her codename from "Oil rig" to "Prada."

Anyone who uses the term "neo-con" has nothing of worth to say. .. . In other news... Dirty Harry Reid says "'...the surge certainly hasn't hurt. It's helped. I recognize that' --- Sen. Harry Reid, 12/21/07

You can tell this mindless idiot illuminati doesn't really read anybody else's posts when he or she is blogging. if it did it would know that Harry Reid is lambasted and critisized endlessly on these threads by real Americans who are appaled with the two-party dog and pony show these criminals subject us to.

We don't believe Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi OR Georgie the Failure Monkey illuminati.

Your nothing more than a groupie who idolizes those who accumulate vast fortunes and then use them to cheat the world into submission. Like the Bush family and Prince Bandar. It seems illuminati lusts for liberal blood. His zeal goes beyond just a healthy interest in politics as anyone who saw the earlier fanatic series of sophmoric blather can attest to. Notice the complete lack of any attempt to debate or communicate with others on the site.

It's really just the illuminati show which this hopeless dullard watches with glee, tilting at liberal windmills.

illuminati imagines that a jab at Reid actually has some effect here. Let alone any meaning. Any sane thinking human being knows Reid is nothing more than a handmaiden in the attempt to dominate the world and wipe out Islam.

Lame and unnecessary post.

Dear illuminati,

You titled your post (above) but forgot to write the body of it. What gives?

By the way. How did your audition for the part of Ann Coulter in the school play go? You have her nailed. I think you should get it.

One tip: Always try to add on to the word liberal. You know like Godless liberals.

I so agree with your premise though. Of course Republicans being in power for like 13 straight years in the Congress and Senate and the two-term Bush have nothing to do with the economic collapse brought on by the mortgage scandal, failing education system, skyrocketing energy prices, rampant corruption on Wall St. & endless wars of aggression waged on starving muslims who have been forced to flee their homes and countries to try to find a corner somewhere that's safe from the genocide.

Merry Christmas! I hope you get that drooling thing under control this year.

God Bless Blackwater and George Bush for allowing N. Korea to get nukes.
