Huckabee On Gitmo

Think Progress:

During a campaign stop in Iowa today, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee commented on the conditions at the military detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, saying that "the inmates there were getting a whole lot better treatment" than "prisoners in Arkansas." "I hope our guys don't see this," added Huckabee. "They'll all want to be transferred to Guanatanmo."

"If anything, it's too nice," said Huckabee. "The inmates there were getting a whole lot better treatment than my prisoners in Arkansas. In fact, we left saying, 'I hope our guys don't see this. They'll all want to be transferred to Guanatanmo.' If anything, it's too nice."

and let the pairs of guard dogs make him sh*t all over himself.

"It seems young Huckabee spent some time as a counselor at a Boy Scouts camp called Camp Pioneer back in 1998 when he was 17-years-old. Huck happened upon a stray dog that had the misfortune to cross his path. In a move sure to send chills down the spine of parents everywhere, trusting their kids are being cared for by well intentioned summer camp counselors, David Huckabee hung the dog from a tree. His excuse, according to an interview Newsweek conducted with his father Mike: "There was a dog that apparently had mange and was absolutely, I guess, emaciated."

Funny. That, or perhaps a trip to the local vet might have helped.

The two best postscripts to this story: 1. Young Huck was fired for violating the Boy Scouts credo to "be kind." 2. He later made Eagle Scout. Apparently, no good deed, well, you know... "

Yet another example of the unmitigated hypocrisy of the pseudo-Christian right wing extremists. Who would Jesus torture, Gov. Huckleberry?

So the treatment of the prisoners at GITMO is too nice, according to Huckabee. You can imagine how severe his judgment might be if he weren't a Christian.

What about self-inflicted torture, like watching
CNN?

What will Huckabee do in terms of issues
like defense, budget, immigration, debt,
and other stuff? Nevermind the Guantanamo
sideshow, let's see the numbers. Let's see
the BOOKS. Who gives campaign money to
Huckabee? Hmmmm....

Let's all hope and pray that a Huckabee family member is never captured by THEIR side, detained without POW status, interned as an "enemy combatant," denied habeus corpus, and subjected to the same "partial death drowning" interrogations we subject THEIR people too.

What goes around, comes around, Mr. Huckabee.

I want my President to know what an adverb is.

Most of those in Gitmo have never even been charged with anything. It's a well known fact that many are there because of trumped up charges for the purpose of collecting a bounty. As for torture, WELL IF IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR JESUS IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ALL INNOCENT PEOPLE TO ENDURE, after all its christlike to be tortured. If Hucksterbee thinks it's such a good idea 's to treat people humanely and thinks this country rush to the bottom is such a good idea he wants to be President so we can all try it, in the spirit of GITMO, god and christ Hucksterbee's Holy Trinity.

Huckabee is a freak. there is some dark dark shit swimming around in his head. he'll be talking about something when out of nowhere he'll let some dark thought slip out like about Republicans slicing their wrists, or threatening to kill Ron Paul. mark my words, he's going to have a macaca moment any day now.

* sources:
"If I were some of these guys, I'd have to be sitting in a warm tub of water with razor blades." (Huckabee on MSNBC)
"I will confess this; if you play the spot backwards it says 'Paul is dead, Paul is dead, Paul is dead.'" (Huckabee on ABC News)

Maybe the delightfully religious Huckabee can get his dog hanging son to go down there and straighten things out.
