Mary Matalin To Publish Rove's Memoirs

After weeks of speculation, it's finally official: Karl Rove's memoirs will be published by Threshold Editions, the conservative-minded imprint of Simon & Schuster's Pocket Books overseen by GOP strategist Mary Matalin.

Earlier this week, Mr. Rove and his representative in the deal, DC lawyer Robert Barnett, were deciding between Threshold and Free Press, another imprint of Simon & Schuster.

Well said and funny. I have read/heard the rumors about Rove being gay, and what can i say, he looks it. Not that being gay is a negative thing...un­less, of course, you're a member of a political party that routinely rallies its base around meaningless gay-bashing and homophobic tirades. My guess is, we scratch the surface of every arch-conservative in tis country and we would "strike gay" in at least half of them.

Regarding his book: there would be a certain voyeuristic fascination in reading his distortions, much like it would be fascinating to read the diary of some Nazi war criminal. However, in both cases it would get tiresome relatively quickly. Reading a load of bullshit can only hold one's interest for so long. I wonder if he's preparing for when the subpoenas start to fly.
