Meanwhile, Marion Jones confesses to her cheating, prompting calls for refunds and medals returned. Still hasn't been legally punished but we'll see how it plays out as it's not over. ;)

Meanwhile, basketball has to admit to refereeS fixing the outcome of games going back several seasons, but in the grand scheme of things, nothing is done. Why? Cause the FBI found out about it while investigating THE MOB. NBA says it's no connection to them and has largely ignored it, while scoffing at any notion that it taints the league.

Meanwhile, Mark McGwire confessed to roids, as did Cansceco, pretty much ditto for Pettite, while Clemens cries like the big bald baby that he is. MLB has no room to be taking swipes at anyone for how they handle their sports.

Meanwhile, the FIA (world motorsport governing body, based in FRANCE) hands out the largest ever sporting fine when they hit Team McLaren with a $1 MILLION fine on the spot. Strip team of all it's team points and ability to earn revenue off their standing in the sport. All told, will end up costing them more than $15 MILLION within the year.

So yeah, let's all bash on the French for wanting fair play and sportsmanship. Everyone knows that cheating is the Amerikan way, after all. ;)

So can someone remind me how as Miss USA says they are protecting us? There is no connection with our military and protection. The military is in place to protect corporations, not citizens. Just ask anyone who has any legal issues in a foreign country, you are on you own.

I saw Robin Williams doing French riffs in his act 30 years ago. The French have always been a prime target for American comics; probably has something to do with the fact that in a typical U.S. comedy-club audience there will be very few French-Americans to worry about offending.

The whole war is one big war crime. There's not much humorous about it.
