Luxury jeweler Van Cleef and Arpels sued German supermodel and television star Heidi Klum's company on Friday, claiming she copied a vintage clover jewelry design.

The suit, filed in Manhattan federal court, seeks more than $25,000 in damages from Klum's company Heidi Klum GmbH and Mouawad USA, another company she has designed jewelry for.

Damages of $25,000? Sounds like she's getting off easily. But then supermodels usually do. Seems odd though, that QVC's legal department didn't catch this before putting her and her baubles on air.

These comments befuddle me - Heidi has a reputation for being down-to-earth and quite friendly. She doesn't have implants and she's not too vain to carry her own children like many non-models. Let the girl alone.
