A newly declassified document shows that J. Edgar Hoover, the longtime director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, had a plan to suspend habeas corpus and imprison some 12,000 Americans he suspected of disloyalty.

Hoover sent his plan to the White House on July 7, 1950, 12 days after the Korean War began. It envisioned putting suspect Americans in military prisons.

Hoover wanted President Harry S. Truman to proclaim the mass arrests necessary to "protect the country against treason, espionage and sabotage." The F.B.I would "apprehend all individuals potentially dangerous" to national security, Hoover's proposal said. The arrests would be carried out under "a master warrant attached to a list of names" provided by the bureau.

Thankfully the cross-dressing son of a bitch is exactly where he needs to be. I had a good laugh when LBJ named Hoover "director for life." When that happened I knew in my own heart that Hoover must have had a truckload of stuff on Johnson. How sullied it all is and how creepy it gets when people have power and abuse it. The current band of brigands in the white house being no exception, Bush could have done wonders with Hoover but unfortunately the current director seems to have some integrity. Thank goodness!!

Flirting with fascism. Hoover did it but the Bush crime family is the uncontested first fascist family of our nation.

Here is one half hour of mind blowing radio from BBC....ignore the first couple minutes.

The Bush family is the enemy of the American people. All I want for Christmas is a serious effort to impeach our evil President.

He PLANNED it, but didn't do it.

FDR DID put thousands and thousands of Americans in internment camps and lefties have no problem with that.
He's still a great prez in their mind. If he was a Repub, we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Good old JEDGAR!I began to feel twinges of doubt and skepticism about him during the tragic Vietnem era.As time went on and I watched his bombast and ravings against people he found "undesirable"and in conflict with his prissy prudishness my twinges of doubt intensified.
When I finaly read the very heavily researched and doccumented, post mortem, biography of him by Curt Gentry,I got the feeling that this guy was not too different in his attitudes than his Nazi counterpart Heinrich Himmler. The main difference was that he was heavily restricted in the depth of persecution he was allowed to pursue. This is due, thanks in great part, to the differences between the two political systems.
Never the less,he,who "walked with minced steps",was still capable of being a real threat to the constitutional rights of many American citizens.

So where was J Edgar the night before JFK was murdered?
I have read where he was having dinner in Dallas with the
owner of the local football team, GHWB and Richard Nixon.
Probably just some conspiracy theory, right?? Any one???

The really interesting thing here is that
the FBI fall under the authority of the
A.G, and that for 50 years none were able
to dislodge this monster. YOU would think
the leading candidates of both parties would
state that their first order of business
after taking the oath of office would be to
tear the s.o.b.'s name right off the building.
This event could be televised in
high definition, and serve the purpose of
telling other would-be tyrannical creeps
that in the end the decent people who work
very hard and risk their lives at the FBI
regret this plethora of skullduggery ever
frightened generations of elected representatives of the people.

When Hoover was laid to rest did his dresses make it into his coffin or was he buried in a dress?

Just change the name to Donald Rumsfield, add a different list of detainees (perhaps one or two were on the ORIGINAL list!), and VOILA! They can just use all those detention facilities Halliburton has built all over the U.S. They would barely have to change any words to the Hoover plan.

Creepy how it sounds just like Donald Rumsfield, too. Hoover must have been one of his idols, next to Goebbels.

Hopefully Truman had the balls to just kinda say "Oh, uh, thanks Hoovie; that'll be all for now", then just ignore him for a few months and maybe it would all just go away. Could we trust Bu$h to do the same?
