A stunning new Iowa poll seems to show the New York senator with an apparent double-digit lead over her nearest rival among likely Democratic caucus goers, with voting just over a week away.

Iowa polling is notoriously difficult because of the unpredictable nature of caucus voting. Still, the Clinton campaign is still sure to view these results as an early Christmas gift: she and Barack Obama were neck-and-neck in last week's American Research Group poll. In the new survey, conducted December 20-23, she leads the Illinois senator by 15 percentage points, 34 to 19 percent. Obama is now in a statistical tie for second place with John Edwards, who has 20 percent of the vote.

This is entirely plausible as the all out smear campaign of the Clintons has accomplished their dirty work. This also shows how negative smear campaigns work. As usual the American people faced with the choice between two slimy candidates will turn away in droves. The democrats will get what they deserve.

Ok... it's official... all these polls are bs! lol

What a riot, when one now thinks of the countless hours wasted on political talk shows that focused on polling here or there--for this or that.

ARG is the same oragnization that showed Hillary with a double digit lead in NH. The next 2 polls by a different organization showed a tie and an Obama lead. ARG cannot be trusted.

No poll taken while a significant proportion of the population is either traveling or otherwise unavailable for response is worth the jack. That CNN would pay for and proagate such mal-information only shows that they are either fools or tools. Usually they are tools, of course, but when it comes to matters mathmatical, these people are SO CHALLENGED that they may just be fools. Phrank

One good snow storm and the polls will be meaningless.

Are these polls being conducted by the same people who tally the votes up from the electronic voting machines?

Wierd, wierd, wierd....what poll to believe. Something tells me that over the next 9 months we're going to be drowned in polls, and sick and tired of them. And you can thank 24/24 cable news for feeding this beast.
