Krugman Obama On Edwards

NY Times:

Once upon a time, back when America had a strong middle class, it also had a strong union movement.

These two facts were connected. Unions negotiated good wages and benefits for their workers, gains that often ended up being matched even by nonunion employers. They also provided an important counterbalance to the political influence of corporations and the economic elite.

Yeah but doesn't Krugman live with his mom? I mean really give this guy a bone and he will pick it.

Krugman, once again, shows that he is a HACK not worthy of our time or attention.

"But Barack Obama, though he has a solid pro-labor voting record, has not — in part, perhaps, because his message of “a new kind of politics” that will transcend bitter partisanship doesn’t make much sense to union leaders who know, from the experience of confronting corporations and their political allies head on, that partisanship isn’t going away anytime soon."

This is conjecture, plain and simple. And the, to top it all off, Krugman defends one 527 over another, simply because of politics. Its Bullshit. I can't believe anyone pays this man for his opinion.

Interesting comment by Vox Populi (who is not a Hillary supporter):

"But at least with Hillary I know what to expect, and know where she stands. Obama is still a question mark, and I don't want to get buyers remorse. And the more he attacks the true populist, progressive, anti-establishment top-tier candidate in the race, the more I'm going to grow to distrust him. As things stand now, I'm an inch away from Hillary moving back into a distant second place." Second, Vox Populi points to Obama's condemnation of 527s running anti-Edwards ads, commenting that Obama has made "Not a peep about the corrupting influence" of Vote Hope, a California 527 organization that is "encouraging Californians to vote early for Obama."

Does Mr. Krugman remember George Meany, the late labor leader and head of the AFL-CIO? Does he recall his support for LBJ, and then HHH, and the Vietnam war? Big organized labor is not necessarily progressive. Do you recall the Teamster support for Reagan?
Dr. Ron Paul, who is labeled a free market libertarian by the same main stream media that Mr. Krugman works for, is opposed to NAFTA and the corporate welfare given to the Drug Industry.
When will you ever hear any statement like that from either Clinton?

This attack--nasty and negative--completely upends Obama's planned image as a conciliator, non-partisan, civil discourse kinda guy.
And at Christmas yet!
And against unionized workers yet!
And against the brave and gutsy John Edwards!
Thankfully, a few truthtellers are able to point it out, as Paul Krugman has. Thank you.

No love for Mr. Krugman any more.

His criticism on Obama is not reasonable and extreme.

Mr. Krugman's vision is narrow-minded. If someone who doesn't fit his mode of progressivism, he would attack the person.

People may have the same goals but with different approaches.

Mr. Krugman doesn't even give Obama the opporunity to prove himself. He already gives Obama the death penalty.

Debate, mediation, problem-solving, compromise and consensus.

Labor and management have long had these tools institutionalized. All they have to do is start using them and get better at it.

Obama has shown he can certainly step up to the plate in organizing and facilitating different factions among and between groups.

There are more than two candidates. Let's get so mesmerised by all this hoopla that we miss the fact that the so-called second tier have a lot more to offer in substance, experience, and ideas that the "frontrunners".

Just another hit man doing the dirty work, wouldn't do if the perfect people had to fight their own battles and be seen in a bad light!

CANDIDATE DRAFTED BY WWW.GROWNASSMEN.TV
GAM reinstituted Selective Service and called my number to be drafted for President.
“You could be a viable third party candidate,” they said
Being at an age when “viable” itself is a sufficient inducement, I accepted.
Tomorrow, we apply for Secret Service guard, and hope that it also covers protection from embarrassment.
My favorite THIRD party candidate? Gus Hall who ran on the Communist Party ticket when Congress was asking people if they “were now or have ever been members of the Communist Party.” Would have been amusing to see candidate Hall taking the Fifth Amendment.
Norman Thomas's milestone is most attempts. A millstone, too, as he's seen as the inspiration for the War On Poverty, The Atoms For Peace Program, and The Sub Prime Mortgage Opportunity Directive.
Some third party candidates who now are venerated:
Comedians: Pat Paulsen (1968).
Puppets: Howdy Doody (1952).
Secaucus Pig Farmers: Henry J. Krajewski (1956, 1960).
Segregationists: George Wallace (1968) and Strom Thurmond (1948).
Nerds: John Anderson (1980).
Geeks: Ross Perot (1992 and 1996).
Libertarians: Ron Paul (1988).
Naderites: Ralph Nader (2000).
Trotskyites: Henry Wallace (1948).
Progressives: Robert LaFollette (1924). If he won, his death would have brought Burton K. Wheeler who, Philip Roth hypothesized in The Plot Against America, would have been Vice-President in a Lindbergh “America First” administration. We will consider Philip Roth to run with us along with Dan Quayle, Walter Mondale, and Al Gore— former Vice-Presidents who know their place.
My platform:
Richard Nixon won not with “Nixon’s The One" but with a sign by a young girl. “Bring Us Together.”
So I run on the first eclectic platform, borrowing from each of the candidates.
Biden. Plagiarism.
Clinton. Avarice.
Dodd. Loyalty.
Edwards. Envy.
Giuliani. His accent.
Gravel. Anger.
Huckabee. Gluttony.
Hunter. Idealism.
Keyes. Pride.
Kucinich. Attention-deficit disorder, feels not enough attention paid.
Obama. Hope.
Paul. Sincerity.
Richardson. Despair.
Romney. Monogamy.
Thompson. Sloth.
Of the capital sins, lust lost out. No Gary Hart trysts; no Bill Clinton Bimbo eruptions; no Jimmy Carter sinning for Playboy Magazine. Makes you wonder.

Obama's record is far more progressive than Edward's and Hillary's. I like Edwardss but Krugman should try harder to comprehend at the record instead of falling for Edward's charm.

Last night The Huffington Post posted an ARG poll result showing Clinton 15 points ahead of OBama. Today it's gone. I guess Santa Claus took away the good news about Clinton. And no coal jokes please.

Reading all these comments is better than eating Christmas turkey.

To give you more insight on Barack Obama, read the feature on the New York Magazine

Facts do not lie.

Do the most realistic thing.
Vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
She has the guts, the skills and the wits.
She is the best human rights activist among all the presidential candidates since her college days to date.
