Today on "The Situation Room," Wolf Blitzer revealed an exclusive e-mail he received from Benazir Bhutto's US spokesman Mark Siegel in October. "This is a story she wanted me to tell the world on her behalf if she were killed," Blitzer said, before reading the e-mail.

In the e-mail, Bhutto wrote that, if anything were to happen to her, "I wld [sic] hold Musharaf [sic] responsible. I have been made to feel insecure by his minions, and there is no way what is happening in terms of stopping me from taking private cars or using tinted windows or giving jammers or four police mobiles to cover all sides cld [sic] happen without him."

YES! EXCLUSIVELY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, THE TRUTH IS THE GREATEST ENEMY OF THE STATE." -- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

This is extremely sad situation, because she was the most viable candidate to take over a country in which the leader, Musharraf, is desperate to keep control. I believe that Musharraf had something to do with her killing because she was the only one in which the people of Pakistan believed that could successfully run that country. In all honesty, if Bush had not coaxed Bhutto to return to Pakistan from exile in order to forge a bridge between herself and Musharraf, then she probably would still be alive today. If the people of Pakistan wanted Bhutto to return to Pakistan, then they certainly didn't need Bush to influence the situation. But again, this is another situation in which Bush has blood-covered hands.

There is an interesting point to be made here.

Responsible for her assassination, or for failing to provide sufficient security?

If the former, that's dramatic news. If the latter, I can't help but disagree. The state can't be held responsible for protecting everyone's life- the last time they failed, and killed a huge number of people. She should have taken better precautions, or simply continued her exile. I appreciate that she wanted to improve the life of her people, but now her death will potentially cause the deaths of unimaginable numbers.

So, enlighten my darkness.

Why should I care about ANYTHING Blitzer or CNN has to say about ANY subject?

For bloggers who want to refresh their memories of what Joe Biden wrote on two occassions on Pakistan on Huffington Post on November 6th and November 8th - two months ago, here are the links.

It is worth reviewing to see how prophetic Biden was and right on the money considering how today's tragedy has worked out.

Okay, President BushBoy, it's time to BOMB PAKISTAN where Al-Qaida and the Taliban are protected and flourish.

What's the matter?
You STILL want to go after Iran???

Oh, it's the oil fields?
...what it's REALLY ALL ABOUT.
Everything else is cosmetic: smoke & mirrors.

Nice, how Bush had CIA got rid of Bhutto.
Way to go, fratboy. The INT'L CORRUPT NANNY STATE FOR THE RICH must be kept going and going.
Paid for by bankrupted middle-income Americans.

Think for a moment how we would be today if our "president" had sent more troops to Afghanistan after Bin Laden instead of cutting and running for Iraq.

President Musharrif of Pakistan is of no concern to GWBush. America should be very scared of that country....a land full of crooks and Alquida operatives. Their self imposed leader[musharraff] is forced to run elections so he kills the most promising candidate [most promising to trump his leadership] and hoping for and getting America's blessing with another 11 billion, Musharraff will make sure he keeps Bin Laden upto the latest news.

I dont know if I can trust an insanely boring ex-AIPAC member reveal this "email exclusive".

I suppose that Mushariff thinks it would be much easaier to win the election after he kills all who oppose himn.

All in all, Wolf Blitzer is a leach on society and one day it will come apparent to the studio....in which case he will be sent off....to pedal his lies elsewhere.

Inadvertently, Wolf Blitzer killed millions of people. Should Wolf Blitzer be allowed anymore TV time? He is only a newscaster [as he says] and he picks his stories to fit the Republican agenda.

For the record, Wolf did not have an "exclusive." He received a copy of Mrs Bhutto's email to Mark Siegel when all other media outlets received it. The first report I heard was on NPR's All Things Considered, which I'll listen to any time before I tune into commercial TV infotainment.

I blame Wolf Blitzer as much as I do Musharraf fot this.Siding with the Bush family, Wolf Blitzer built up Musharraf at the expence of Bhutto....and the millions of people on her side.

Once again A government blames Al Qaeda for all of its Woes. When will the people learn, well it is already too late. We, in the U.S. will not recognize this place in another 15 to 20 years. You can blame it all on those God Fearing Red States....jeesh, voting against their own interest, I mean, how stupid can you be....

Fuck everybody except Ron Paul!!!!

Wolf Blitzer Report just gets a chance at democracy so much farther in Pakistan. Wolf Blitzer is a cause of world misery.Wolf only does what the Big corporations tell him to. Wolf Blitzer is a liar.

Blitzer is the least reliable of the major prime time "journalists". He seems to want always to be the "show". The supreme "suck up" where necessary. The one who also always plants the most leading questions.
He talks like he is a corporate shill. He sounds the same. His body language says so too. I figure he is probably a corporate shill, and I choose to treat him as such.
I would take the BBC over him anytime.

I'd be extreeeeeemely dubious about anything coming out of the White House, State or Musharaff. MSM and Neocons are all jumping on the Al Qaeda did it bandwagon. Come to think of it, I'd also be dubious about anything coming out of Al Qaeda or folks who claim to speak for Al Qaeda. This murder was just too politically convenient for Bush and his Band of Despicables.

Memo to self: New personal motto: "Be dubious."

Finger pointing from the grave. Via email, no less.

Still, Bhutto chose to wade into unfiltered crowds, despite the real and known risks.

And no, I am not blaming her for her own demise.
