Hillary Clinton Glamour

EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME: As hard as it may be to believe, the presidential candidates are going to become even more ubiquitous -- and Glamour is doing its part. On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton became the first of what the magazine hopes will be many presidential candidate guest "bloggers" (actually just brief essays or answers to commenters' questions) on its Web site. "As a young woman, I was reminded daily of what I couldn't do -- the schools I couldn't attend, the sports I couldn't play, the jobs I could never have," Clinton wrote, adding, "I watched my daughter and her friends grow into capable young women, watched them compete with men in every field -- politics, finance, medicine, law. I watched them get involved in my campaign because they've grown up being told by their parents and teachers that anything is possible and they want to see me prove it."

Most all the comments are about Hillary. Either to bash her or to praise her. That is indicative of only one thing. She is obviously the front runner. If you fear her, bash her. If you want her to win praise her. Either way she is upfront and foremost on everyone's mind in these comments and most all the blogs that are blogging about the candidates. Obama seems to be dragging up a distant second while Edwards is a close third behind Obama.

Atlanta Joe ...

The man that raised Bill Clinton was an alcoholic ... that's a fact ... I'm not linking it to anything

Hillary grew up in a middle class suburb in Parkgrove right outside Chicago ... it was middle class ... I never stated that either one of them were poor by my standards ...

What point are you trying to make?

In you're original post you made the claim that,

"bill clintons father was a salesman that died prior to bills birth. when Bill was four his mother married a man that owned new car dealerships, how poor was he? Hillarys father was a consevative repub, we all know that conservative repubs are all evil and rich!

... They both grew up middle class ...

What's you're point? From you're assumption , Hillary's father was rich and evil, which he was NEITHER ...

Again, you stated in your original post ...

"we all know that conservative repubs are all evil and rich!"

No they're NOT!!!

Just because their parents had suitable jobs to provide a living does not constitute them as being rich or evil ... They were middle class, just like me ... I never said anything about them being poor ...

Alcoholism and wife beating are relative to Bill Clinton's story because they are actual events that affected his childhood, which he writes about in his memoir ...

As I can recall, you're the one that brought Bill Clinton into this story in the first place.

Get the facts straight ...

Reading all the comments it looks like only Repb. have the time on their hands to sit all day and write Repb. talking points.

She will not answer one question? She has her team doing this. If she did I doubt if you will get a truthful answer from her.

Hillary is pandering again: exactly what sports did she want to play growing up that she was told every day she could not?

But young women still don't compete with men for the right to die for their country in Iraq. Perhaps Hillary is ready advocate a military draft that would treat women and men equally, and require rich and poor alike to sacrifice for their country. Although of military age, Hillary was not subject to the draft during Vietnam, and of course, neither was Bill.

Hillary's brand of equality for women only deals with rights and privileges, not responsiblities and risks.

Okay Atlanta Joe ... The one that's mistaken here is you ... Bill's "supposed" father died prior to his birth ... It is not known, for a fact, that Bill Blythe was actually Bill's biological father ... Those that knew Bill Blythe that will claim that Bill Clinton looks nothing like him.

Bill's mama was a party girl :)

Bill Blythe actually left for war more than nine months prior to Bill's birth :) And it's known that Virginia, Bill's mother, had suitors during her husbands absence ...

Anyway, yes she did remarry, but the guy that she remarried was never known to be a huge success ... In fact, he was drunk, that was abusive toward her, and in many instances Bill had to come his mother's defense ...

Oh, and by the way, being a Republican does not necessarily mean you're rich and successful ... Here, in the South, there is plenty of evidence for that

She can blog on GLAMOUR all day every day and it doesn't matter.

Young women 18-30 don't vote--and in record numbers.

I have never read Glamour even though I think I am the most glamorous woman in the world! LOL Compete with men? Chelsea got her nice job by competing with men? Err, I don't think so and no one in their right mind thinks so either. Hillary married Bill and would not be where she is today if it were not for that marriage--did she compete with men when she married him? LOL More Bullcrap from this woman. Had enough of this PR routine? I have.

I cannot wrap my mind around the idea that Hil has blogged for Glamour mag. Don't see anything that qualifies her for that...
