AP:

More than 3 million people will have to wait until February to get their tax refunds because of Congress' late fix to the alternative minimum tax, the IRS said Thursday.

Congress put a one-year freeze on growth of the alternative minimum tax last week, shielding many middle- and upper-middle income taxpayers from first exposure to the tax. But Congress' late action means the Internal Revenue Service won't be able to start processing five AMT-related forms until February, delaying potential refunds for those people until that month.

This article sounds like these people are really going to suffer, were talking about people making 75,000 to 100,000 a year if they are going to suffer having to wait til Feb. to file their income tax my hear(sic) bleeds for them.
They are living above their means and need to suck in their spending and wonder about those who are making 25,000 a year, their is lots more of them, and find out how they cope. Sorry but I just think this is a non-issue.

This "news" story reads like an IRS press release. Where is the research? Is this more lazy reporting? The wording and tone of this article are suspiciously similar to the wording and tone of the recent presidential address.
