Mischa Barton was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence after her car was stopped by sheriff's deputies early Thursday morning in West Hollywood.
Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said the former star of "The O.C." was taken into custody at about 2:45 a.m. after deputies saw her car straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal while making a turn.

Hollywood needs to crack down on the actors who refuse to behave. None of them should get work until they can prove to the police, and thier docs that they have reformed. Its a disgrace that with the money, fame they have, which many would kill to have, they squander it like spoiled, little rich kids. Is it any wonder why Conrad Hilton chose to leave his money to charity instead of his bratty grandkids? These kids have no idea how thier calreless acts will ruin thier chances of working with directors. Folks, directors pay out the ass to do films, and when actors don't show up, are stoned, drunk, in jail for DUI or worse, its money, lots of it. None of them should get work who drink and act like morons. Give the acting jobs to those who really want it and appreciate the opportunity to work with the greats. These kids are not actors, they are famous only becuase they act stupid and get put in rag magazines. Not acting guys. the greats don't need to behave like this. They know the value of what it means to have the chance to be directed by Coppola, or Huston, Altman. If they did, they did so behind closed doors where it harmed noone, didn't affect thier work or the production. Amatuers, how pathetic.
I hope she learned her lesson. She has a lot to live for with a lot going for her. I don't care about pot, but DUI, is bad. People can forget their licenses. Generally, DUI is a sign of a lot bigger problems under the surface. I hope that's not true with her
Never saw her show - but for 21 she sure looks like she has a lot of miles on her and a great future as a Hilton wanna be.

Misdemeanor DUI? Is that because she's young and cute, or because she's a "star"? If you or I were pulled over for that, would it be soft pedalled?
