Democrat Hillary Clinton called on Friday for an international probe of Benazir Bhutto's killing and candidates in both parties sparred over foreign policy six days before Iowa kicks off a close presidential nominating race.

Clinton, battling rivals Barack Obama and John Edwards for the lead in Iowa, questioned the reliability of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf's government after opposition leader Bhutto's assassination.

Probe this.

Like others in the race for the White House, Hillary Clinton has strong words for Pakistan, but has yet to propose the United States seriously consider limiting its aid to the country. But unlike the other leading Democratic presidential hopefuls, Edwards and Obama, she has accepted tens of thousands of dollars from Pakistan's lobbyists, Cassidy & Associates. Its founder, Gerald Cassidy, long ago maxed out his donations to her.

According to the Foreign Agents Registration Act website, Pakistan recently hired Cassidy and Associates for a one year, $1.2 million/year contract. The Cassidy contract with Pakistan makes for good reading. For the $1.2 million, "target audiences will be identified for critical message reception," and Cassidy will inventively move beyond pushing pieces in the mainstream media, also focusing on blog outreach. In other words, Cassidy will shill and propagandize for one year, and use its contacts in Washington--presumably including Clinton--to ensure that the billions in aid are not diminished, regardless of what the government does to its citizens and its elections. According to The Hill, Pakistan's lead lobbyist is Robin Raphel, who served in the Clinton administration.

History will unravel the many mysterious happenings under the not-so-transparent Clinton Administration--

You see many quietly admired your husband's economic policies. Lead Lady. Get us out of our mire. The world needs the USA. Think how Jackie, Maria Callas, New York, would have thought about all of this blatant coarse (people) activity. The republicans will have all of us looking 20 years older than we are!

January 1, 2008 is World Day of Peace:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is discord, harmony;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

Ah, Hillary is upset about the murder of her friend of 12 years.

What?

Really?

Okay, make that Hillary is exploiting the murder of an acquaintance from 12 years ago.

Schumer and Clinton were both wrong to vote for the war.
**************************************

That's a matter of opinion - to me? It comes down to what their constituents wanted at the time. We elect Senators to represent us, and if I recall they voted what their constituents wanted at the time. And no, I won't provide you with a source, I'll let you do that since it's your inherent assertion that I am incorrect.

Obama has some real first hand experience in growing up in a military family in a violent, evil muslim military dictatorship. His stepdad was a member of the military around the time that the military in Indonesia rounded up 500,000 liberals and handed them over to muslim gangs to murder. He lived in the best neighborhood in Jakarta, making me pretty sure that his stepdads relatives were high up among the military evil. Musharraf is Mr. nice compared to the military men that he looked up to as a boy. I bet that Obama knows that Musharraf is behind this and is blaming al quadi for political reasons.

Hillary wants to probe Pakistan? Of course, so politically correct. She and her team sat down and said, the election is days away, what can we say that SOUNDS "presidential", Is "Politically correct", and no one can attack?

An Investigation! LAUGH.

I believe Clinton is wise to attack our allies against Al Qaeda. It proves how progressive and open minded she is. Perhaps she would be willing to meet with Bin Laden in the badlands of Pakistan....I'd support that....I hope she takes Bill with her.

Hillary's call for international investigation is laudable. She could have said that it is in the interest of Pakistan government establishing its credibility in stead of saying that it has no credibility.

"Musharraf administration has never had any credibiltiy" is a strong statement. I just saw the clip of Hillary's comments on tv and I think she seems more passionate, genuine and "decided" on this issue than any other, in her years in public life. I'm not a big fan of Hillary's personality, but I will listen and watch closely to what she has to say. She may be worth a try. We'll see. I don't "like" her, but I will not let my dislike for her lack of charisma be the deciding factor in my vote. Bush is an idiot, he is a criminal, he has done nothing but dis-service to OUR country!
