LA Times:

As she races through Iowa in the days before next week's caucuses, Hillary Clinton is taking few chances. She tells crowds that it's their turn to "pick a president,'' but over the last two days she has not invited them to ask her any questions.

Before the brief Christmas break, the New York senator had been setting aside time after campaign speeches to hear from the audience. Now when she's done speaking, her theme songs blare from loudspeakers, preventing any kind of public Q&A.

She was no more inviting when a television reporter approached her after a rally on Thursday and asked if she was "moved'' by Benazir Bhutto's assassination. Clinton turned away without answering.

Edwards has a great staff, and they are on top of whats happening in real time. Hilary is living in the twentieth century and not keeping up. Did she think people wouldn't react to her not taking questions?
Go Edwards.

Not taking questions? How is that possible? This is shocking that the one with all the answers is not answering. Woe is me. What are we to do?

You want to talk about questions. Regarding Pakistan a few days ago in an interview with Wolf Blitzer Barack Obama didn't look like he knew what the hell he was doing. Then yesterday Hillary getting inteviewed by Wolf on CNN looked like a true leader, knowledgable about the issue, direct in her position, very Presidential. It was like night and day comparing the two interviews.

This site is going overtime working for the Obama campaign, putting negetive articles on Hillary and Edwards, and rosey ones for Obama. It doesn't matter because Obama is not winning Iowa, in fact I think he's probably coming in third. Recent headlines highlighting experience isn't going to do him much good.

Once the LAT published this, she was forced to speak to the American people. She is nothing like her husband and in my opinion doesn't want to commit to anything and yet say she will solve all the problems. This is a peron who said during this last election if I knew then what I knew now, I would still vote for going to war. Planting questions, her refusal to answer Resserts questions during the debate. I see no evidense she care at all what the public thinks. I don't think she can lead.

It's pretty sad when people here read this screwed up press report and actually believe it. We all know how F up the press is including this site. Who knows what the truth is. We just look for shit that matches our already existing beliefs. HRC has been spending hours after events answering questions. So she didn't answer after one event. How many of you really have any idea what really happened? We believe the press when we like it but we all know how distorted this process is. Time to get a grip.

That's Hillary's schedule for Wednesday, Dec. 26th... hard to believe that she didn't stop to take questions at all 5 stops. Surely that extra 1/2 hour or so at each stop wouldn't have taken more than 2 1/2 HOURS out of her day... I suppose she could eat in the car while driving to the events.

It just boggles my mind that a story can be so biased without anyone taking the time to try to figure out why she might not have taken questions at a stop. With the schedules every candidate has, I wonder how many are taking questions. The article didn't mention that. It also failed to mention that she is stopping at approx. 5 counties a day over this week to meet as many people as possible.

You have to admire Iowans. Not only are they durable in withstanding more than a years worth of constant presidential campaigning, but they take their responsibility in the primary process so very seriously. Through the snow storms and increased traffic and media and political ads and a number of inconveniences, Iowans still take time from their busy schedules to attend political gatherings to give their attention to the candidates. To deny Iowans their one opportunity to vocalize their thoughts and concerns or to ask a simple question of a candidate is not only disrespectful, but it may prove to be political suicide.

Hmmmm.
n unattributed blog criticizing Hillary. Did I miss the attribution? Or, am I just supposed to assume that the author is telling the truth and really is an objective observer. Especially since this comes from the LATimes which no longer has credibility since the reichwing took control.

I did not know she took questions in the first place.

I guess it means no one want to be a plant anymore.

I'd like to ask john why his narcism has led him to his scorched earth policy in regard to Obama and Hillary. The lingering damage he has done to the eventual democratic nominee, who will not be John, is rivaled only by the damage he did in the 2004 election as vice presidential candidate.

Has there ever been a VP candidate who lost only to come back in the next election and win as the Presidential nominee? No.
