"We have the evidence that al-Qaida and Taliban were behind the suicide attack on Benazir Bhutto," Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz said.

Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema said that on Friday, the government recorded an "intelligence intercept" in which militant leader Baitullah Mehsud "congratulated his people for carrying out this cowardly act."

Bhutto said, in a letter to be opened in the event of her assassination,

"I would hold Musharaf responsible. I have been made to feel insecure by his minions, and there is no way what is happening in terms of stopping me from taking private cars or using tinted windows or giving jammers or four police mobiles to cover all sides could happen without him."

Pakistan and Bush say that Al Queda and the Taliban did it. They have an intercepted email.

I think Bhutto is more credible.

Her letter is being completely ignored.
The Bush machine is as strong as it was in 2001.

It's official! ETA was behind the Madrid subway bombings, according to the government in power at the time.

Oh, wait...

"The death of the 54-year-old Bhutto left her party without a clear successor. Her husband, who was freed in December 2004 after eight years in detention on graft charges, is one contender, although he lacks the cachet of a blood relative."
Ouch.
By the way, this story (posted 2 hrs. ago) says nothing about a sunroof:

"Dr. Mussadiq Khan, a surgeon who treated Bhutto, said Friday that she died from shrapnel that hit her on the right side of the skull. Bhutto had no heartbeat or pulse when she arrived at the hospital and doctors failed to resuscitate her, he said."

Are they investigating or are they pontificating? In any case, I have yet to see a response to Bhutto's pre-assassination claims that the government purposely was trying to make her vulnerable to assassination, since they would gain from her death. That kind of plausible deniability (helpful to Bu$h and Musharaff) seens to be something the government on both sides want to distract people from demanding answers.

There will be many conflicting stories, and it seems to me that the Pakistani Government and the Bush administration are rushing to conclusions...It may very well be that the Taliban are responsible for this, but we do not know for sure...The Pakistani secret service as well as ours, have been known for bending the facts....What we need to do is raise questions about everything that we are told: was the explosion that followed the bullets aimed at concealing the identity of the shooter? Who was he linked to? Did Musharraf make a deal with the Talibans to make it look like they did it?Are other extremists involved? Are our own secret services involved? How? I think we need to listen, inform ourselves, before we buy into any theory about what happened. I have read about Mrs.bhutto and her family: I do not consider myself able to make any judgements, but my heart goes how to her family and especially her children.

If Al-Qaeda (translation: the Database) was responsible that means the CIA had a hand in it, which would be bad news for the US.

How to tell the players.

Anyone who uses the word "cowardly" in his/her response was in on it in some way. It's kind of a secret society code.

Why on earth would she have popped herself up through that sunroof?
Here handlers must have known the security situation. If a man with a firearm and bomb was able to practically climb up in the car, why didn't they keep her inside with bullet-proof glass and locked doors?
It's really bothersome to me.

For the record:

A. 9/11 was NOT an inside job.
B. al Qaida does exist and they are a threat
C. The threat of 'Islamofacism' has been wildly exagerated.
D. Oil is at the bottom of damn near everything that happens in the Middle East.
E. Most Neo-Cons are former Marxist, Jewish intellectuals
F. E above does not make me an Anti-Semitic.
G. I wouldn't send Dubya out for coffee and sandwiches and expect him to find his way back without asking a cop for directions, but Shotgun Dick Cheney is bad to the bone and no fool either.

Ah, so you admit that Islamicist "crazies" killed her. Well, it's a step for a dimwit.

Let me say again - at the risk of repeating myself - if you don't think Gen. Mushy was in on this I got a swamp in Georgia I'll sell ya cheep. And get another name - Herman Hesse is over yer head.

Wayne Madsen reported the following on August 15, 2007 about Pakistan and Bhutto:

"WMR has learned that the CIA is also working with pro-Al Qaeda and Taliban insurgents in Pakistan. Currently, Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Richard Boucher is visiting Pakistan to repair frayed relations with Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf, however, U.S. intelligence is also working with tribal opponents of Musharraf to help destabilize his regime.

Boucher is likely in Pakistan to help bring about the return of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto as Prime Minister in a civilian administration where Musharraf would retain the presidency. Bhutto, who remains in exile, and Musharraf recently met in Abu Dhabi to hammer out a power-sharing agreement.

Bhutto claims she wants to return to Pakistan, as she said, to save her country from “a militant takeover, (and) God forbid, disintegration.”

However, Bhutto’s own political party [hareli: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)] is affiliated with the very same Islamic militants in the tribal areas from whom she claims she wants to save her country.

The Bush administration’s long-term plan is to use the tribal militants to destabilize Musharraf to the point that a Indian-American-Australian team, that could also possibly include covert Israeli commandos, can enter Pakistan’s deep underground laboratories to extract certain key nuclear technologies. The agreement of the Bush administration to provide India with billions in “peaceful” nuclear technology was used to lure India into the covert program to de-nuclearize Pakistan."

Al-Qaeda doesn't actually exist. There is no al-Qaeda ID card, no uniform, no offical seal, no central command (remember when Rumsfeld showed drawings of al-Qaeda's huge non-existent cave complex in Afghanistan?). It is just an Arabic word for "toilet".

In truth, al-Qaeda is a convenient bogey man for the Bush dictatorship. Even that its leader, Osama bin Laden, is still alive is a lie. Before Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, she said that Osama bin Laden was dead. If you see more tapes of Osama emerge they come from Rita Katz, a Mossad agent.

Al-Qaeda is otherwise known as ISI, GID, sometimes CIA or Mossad. If Bush needs an excuse to keep troops in Iraq, Mossad or another agency just kills a lot of GIs. The only people who believe that al-Qaeda exists are credulous reich-wing stooges.
