"We have the evidence that al-Qaida and Taliban were behind the suicide attack on Benazir Bhutto," Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz said.

Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema said that on Friday, the government recorded an "intelligence intercept" in which militant leader Baitullah Mehsud "congratulated his people for carrying out this cowardly act."

Benazir Bhutto sent an email to be opened in case of her death by assassination.

She implicated Musharaff.

This was aired on CNN by Wolf Blitzer.

This information does not serve the interests of those wanting to implicate Al Queda. It does not serve the line being generated by the neocons.

Therefore, it has been ignored by most if not all of the media.

The thought control is total.

Democracy in the "free world" is dormant at best.
More likely, it is dead.

Cui Bono? Musharraf.

There's reports that her police protection disappeared shortly before the attack.

Senseless killing all in the name of "religion". As uusal this gets overlooked. Its about time that people started waking up to the fact that we have evolved only to the point that we all need to believe that GOD exits, so that we can justify whatever evil that we do. Christians, Mormons, Muslims et. al. Believe what you want, just please stay away from me and my children. The world is a sad, sad place right now.

2 weeks tops. This will be a blip in the media and everything will seem like it happened long ago and only a hand full of people will still be concerned with this. Musharraf will still be in power, Bush will look into his eyes and see a man he can deal with and they will even share the same tube of colgate toothpaste during a sleep over. Life will go on and we will never know the truth to this.

By the way, I would like to remind everyone that the Master of the Magic Bullet theory himself, Sen. Arlen Spector, was due to meet with Ms. Bhutto sometime after that rally.

Knock off all the '9/11 was an inside job' crapola. The only people who still believe that are chasing after Black Helicopters and investigating cattle mutilations. In between visits to Roswell of course.

Since Bhutto does not have the support of the Pakistan military, it is far more likely that Musharraf and the Pakistan military either had her assassinated or looked the other way while she was removed from the immediate equation.

Looked the other way. That gets my vote.

We Americans hear Al Qaeda or Taliban and we shudder. And with cause. but we must not let terrorism select our new President.

Hey, this reminds me of 9/11 when just minutes after the WTC was hit BushCo and corporate media minions claimed it was Al-Qaida and were able to provide names and photos of 19 Saudi hi-jackers....it's simply amazing!

The only way the "al-Queda did it" argument makes sense is if al-Queda already has Musharraf in its pocket. That may be the case to some extent, given Musharraf's unwillingness to actually try to capture bin-Laden.

Since Bhutto does not have the support of the Pakistan military, it is far more likely that Musharraf and the Pakistan military either had her assassinated or looked the other way while she was removed from the immediate equation.

Musharraf claims she had heavy military and police protection. Yet western reporters at the scene said there were no signs of military presence. Those reporters probably know military when they see it, whether in uniform or not.

This is all such trash. And I absolutely believe our government played a role in it. Bhutto was betrayed by those closest to her.

Musharraf also claims she was not shot, but again, one western reporter said she fell back into the car after a single shot, quickly followed by two more shots and then by the suicide detonation.

That suggests to me, based on very limited information, that she may have been killed by someone inside her car. That would be all the more reason for the military to be a no-show, and for a quick, no forensics burial.

"I shouted out 'Who killed the Kennedy's', when after all, it was you and me".

One evil, multiple faces.

All it needs to continue, is for good men and women to stand by and do nothing.

At least in some countries, they aren't.
