So, as you might have heard, Time Magazine's gain became the New York Times' loss this week, as the Grey Lady, proving it's learned absolutely nothing from the Judith Miller years, handed some of its valuable op-ed column inches to neocon nincompoop Bill Kristol.

Kristol has a track record that stands as a monument to journalism's version of the Peter Principle: blunder your way to a cushy gig at the Paper of Record.

John Amato at Crooks and Liars has teamed with our HuffPost video crew to put together a lowlight reel of Kristol in action, missing the punditry mark again and again and again.

Enjoy your latest acquisition, New York Times!

The New York Times op-ed pages make a fine birdcage liner. My bird will be able to add the perfect punctuation marks to Billy's column.

Talk about a lose/win. The Times turns off its readers (disses is a more appropriate word) and loses a bunch, the ones who stick around have to step around his drivel on the Op Ed page like dog poop on the sidewalk, and Mr. War Pooh-Bah gets to syndicate himself as a "New York Times columnist".

Smart. Real smart.

Whoever at the NYTimes thinks Kristol will be welcomed with flowers, is as delusional as the Cheney prognostication of flowers in Iraq. What a collosal blunder! If they run off people like Ms. Dowd or Mr. Krugman to greener pastures like HuffPo, then game over.

Kristol has no credibility, but he creates controversy. He's a freak. He reminds me of Paris Hilton : she has absolutely no talent but everybody's talking about her. That's what it's all about.

Most of us with morals know what Kristol is. The NYT does not. I agree with those who think this is good...now there should be no ambivalence re the NYT. That Rosenthal would use the words "hawkish" and "intellectual" in describing Kristol is a good lesson in propaganda.
Rosenthal has forgotten about the deaths Kristol has clamored for and is still clamoring for...but then again "death" for some is just another "word" and words can be so easily substituted for another to replace the "truth" with an "untruth". Yes, we're looking for News, but it's to discover the truth.

So, I agree with those who think it's a good day for us all. Life is mostly about who you can trust and who you can't. Would you buy one issue of this paper or bother to read it in the library if you thought it couldn't be trusted? Would you trust Rosenthal, ever? I would never have thought this if not for the hiring of Kristol. Danke, Billie.

Oddly, the same newspaper that ridiculed the BUSH adminitration for all their blunders, lies, manipulations and distortions see fit to hire one of the architects and cheerleaders of all that is wrong with Bush Co... how schitzoid can they be!

How did the Grey Lady turn into the Titanic.

First they set a dangerous course, steering this country to war amidst great fanfare and an aura of invincibility. Judith Miller, like Joe Hazelwood just happened to be at the helm -- or not -- when the ship hit the iceberg. A lack of well engineered, waterproof bulkheads (management) is now allowing bilge water spewing Kristol)to spill into the passenger spaces.

Man Overboard! Anyone with a brain would rather surf the internet for news than stay on board that fouled, slowly sinking ship.

Check out nytimes.com. Every day on the front page there's a photo of Romney, Romney's Mattel family, Romney's big handsome fiberglass head. Every single day, there at the top of the front page. WTF?

Look on the bright side. Now we will have a way to save on toilet paper.

The guy has absolutely zero meaning in regard to the needs of the people of this country. Further, he has zero power to do anything about our sick, poor, and elderly. Just noise, that's all, just noise.

I'm not surprised. While I wish it was about everybody getting their point of view published, it's really representative of the NYT
s editorial twist. They have been the Duke Nukems of the Middle East for quite some time.

Nincompoop is giving Kristol far too much credit, there is a sinister side to his idiocy. Sergeant Schultz was a nincompoop, Kristol is just as stark raving mad lunatic.
