The sudden turmoil in nuclear-armed Pakistan following the assassination of former Prime Minister and pro-democracy leader Benazir Bhutto stirred up the presidential races as they shifted into high-gear heading into the Jan. 3 Iowa Caucuses and the New Hampshire Primary on Jan. 8.

For Democratic Senators Joe Biden (left) of Delaware and Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, who perennially poll in the single digits, commenting on Bhutto's death provided them an opportunity to highlight their foreign policy expertise,

Joe Biden's closing speech is simple: Close your eyes and imagine anyone of the candidates sitting in the Oval Office and the news of the assassination of Bhutto reaches the White House. Who among all the candidates could best deal with this unstable government that also possesses intercontinental nuclear warheads (60)? This is the country where Bin Laden is, where Al Queda operates out of, where the Taliban is operating, where 15 to 20% of the people are radical islamist, and where 50% of the people are illiterate and living on 50cents a day.

Don't imagine a candidate who still needs years to prepare for this, imagine the candidate who can make Presidential choices today. Now, vote for your candidate.

Imagine all the candidates sitting in the Oval Office and who is able to stop the war, bring the troups home, and negotiate with all the surrounding neighbors a peace treaty for a stable Iraq? Today, not tomorrow.

Who can negotiate a peace treat with Palestine, and Isreal that Jordon, Syria, and Lebanon will respect and agree to? Today, not tomorrow.

If you can find a candidate other than Joe Biden who can do that, then vote for that candidate, but if you can't, then Joe Biden deserves the vote.

Health care in America, Immigration, the Environment, education, etc. all are dependent upon someone with the skills to bring peace to America and maintain peace for Americans.

Only Joe Biden had a plan to end the war in Iraq approved by Congress, the UN, all the neighboring countries of Iraq, and all the leaders of Iraq except Sadr. That plan now sits on the President's desk awaiting a President to execute the plan. www.planforiraq.com That plan has been supported by Clinton, Dodd, and Edwards.
