With just over 24 hours before caucusing begins in the Hawkeye state, Democratic hopefuls Hillary Clinton and John Edwards have released last minute ads making the case for their candidacies to Iowans. In an unusual move, Hillary Clinton's ad will be simulcast across the state this evening at six o'clock, coinciding with evening newscasts.

Who do you think makes the most compelling case for being the Democratic nominee?

I have to say, Clinton actually looked pretty hot in that ad..

But, that's not why I plan on voting for her. Cuz, that would be shallow.

What did she say, the new beginning the country needs? uh yeah She Indeed will hard to maintain the direction that pappy bush and her hubby then and now Jr has us on, "A new beginning" with a "New World Order" (HW Bush sept 11, 1991). Hillary will do nothing for us Middle class Just like she didn't bring about health care when her husband was Pres.

Let me tell you: Hold your horses. Do not rule Bush out just yet. Much will be done here in the last year. After New Years eve we thought we had moved forward; yes but just another year. (another day turned.) And it is not 2009. Jane Fonda said "a year is too long for him." He may have a change of heart and make peace, world-wide...Developing... I always wanted to like him.

sn-ruB:"... Something about the Clinton ad makes it looks like she's peddling some makeup"

SG: She is ... Like Obama, she is peddling you can 'makeup' with the Neo-Cons. Edwards is saying you can not, you have to TAKE our power back.

If the 'evidence' of the NeoCon behaviour for last 7 years ... I don't know, say like 'evidence' of 'Executive p(R)ivilege' is taken as ... errr ... 'evidence', then 'evidence' has it that 'Neo-Powe(R)' will not be 'neo'gotiated away.

However, when you 'makeup' your mind, if 'evidence' is not part of the way you prefer to construct your reality, then voting for the Hillary or Obama position is a 'Capital' idea, as it were.

Love the Edwards ad. I hope they are watching tonight. Hillary's is a little dry.

The Edwards ad is better but the narrow focus of the issue discussed is the same narrow issue he focused on in 2004 and it didn't quite make it back then.

The problem with the Hilary ad is that you don't feel she got in front of a camera to say what she believes in and will accomplish come hell or high water. Instead, one gets the feeling that the whole kit and kaboodle will drown in corruption and double talk within 6 months into 2009 with a lot of excuses, partisan bickering and lying. She sounds tired and mechanized, which is understandable, but one wonders if she would have sounded tired and mechanized if she had focused on something she really believed in. To me her ad says "Here is the laundry list, throw your disgusting pie and coffee in the garbage can because my jet is warming up and I'm back to my comfy office on Capitol Hill where I'm going to have a champagne bubble bath".

I really like Edwards, if he means what he says. I believe him more and more every day, perhaps because he has ratcheted up the rhetoric a bit. I like that.

I truly hope the Iowans watch the ads. Mr. Edwards is smart, down to earth, and understands that being President of the U.S.A. is not about money, partisan politics, nor pure power. It is about returning America to the great nation it once was. A nation that did not perceive itself as a people of artistocracy - creating billionaires upon billionaires. But, instead, a nation that insured jobs, respect, health care, and a future for all its citizens, and providing help and care for other nations. Mr. Edwards understands that it is not about how many bombs America can build, but instead, how many honorable, honest jobs we can provide that do not wreak tragedy and shame upon others who are less fortunate. America, I encourage you to vote for Mr. Edwards and Mrs. Edwards as a first lady of integrity. I truly, truly pray that Iowans, and other Americans vote to take back their nation from the hands of truly corrupt and immoral leaders. My vote is for Edwards. My vote is not for 100 million dollar candidates who find it necessary to spend such inordinate amounts to run for office. Edwards for President. We are a nation of workers. A nation of honorable men and women..

I have to concede that Hillary is excellent at faking sincerity.

I don't see how several of you can even type while your hands are so busy massaging Obama's balls.

I disagree ... Hillary is clearly demonstrating she can 'keep her powder dry'!

There is something I've noticed that her San Francisco "loosen up" trainer earlier this year didn't catch or she just didn't learn..

While she's saying an affirmative her head goes from side to side..She's vocalizing yes while physically saying no. Has anyone noticed that? Lots of people do it, but I find that it reveals her struggling once again to make an emotional tie with the viewer.

Wow, Hillary forgets that she voted for Bush's blood for oil wars that destabilized the Middle East and caused all the problems she now claims she alone can fix.

The last thing we need is another politican as President who refuses to take responsibility for his or her own bad judgment.
