Pat Robertson's New Year's Forecast: "China Will Be The Largest Christian Nation On Earth"

As "700 Club" co-anchor Terry Meeuwsen explained on today's installment of the popular Christian show, "Each year, just before the first part of the year, Pat (Robertson) goes off alone with the Lord and then comes back to share with us what the Lord has shown him about the coming year." Pat then brings in every New Year by delivering the Lord's message to the staffs of Christian Broadcasting Network and Regent University. This year's meeting with God brought some interesting predictions, particularly concerning China and Christianity. According to Pat,

"What I'm praying about is China. I'm asking for 250 million in China. We haven't had that breakthrough yet but I think we're going to get it. God's going to give us China. And China will be the largest Christian nation on the face of the earth. They're going to come to Jesus."

Me and God talked a little about this last week. Basically, HE paraphrased somebody, don't remember who, might have been HIMSELF, and said "the dupes will always be with us". Ol' Pat had his moment in the sun a few years ago, but in recent years has been reduced to stealing diamonds and gold from Africa.
Ol' Pat can't hurt the USA anymore - at least those of us who are not brain-damaged, and HE told me not to get too exercised about it. We have bigger problems and that old charlatan will be moving on before too long, anyway.

China is one of the least religious countries in the world... Good for them.

Fat chance Pat. You are not Chinese nor are you familiar with the roots of Chinese religious background. If you look throughout the World in countries where there are Chinese settlements you will find buddhism being the core religion; principles of confuscius in practice and not as a religion and taoism. These are the tools the immigrant Chinese bring along wherever they choose to settle down. The filial piety and respect they show to their parents and ancestors even extend to after death from the ancestor alter kept in their home. They respects others and show gratitude to those who help them. They work hard for their living and are thankful for oppotunity given. They teach their children good morals. They are very practical and good bussiness people. Not only do they readily absorb local culture and trends easily, their host sometime absorb the chinese way also especially when it comes to food and language. Of course there are negative aspects of their legacy from China also such as triads. From the religious point of view buddhism and the principles of confuscius teachings are intergrated in their daily lives together with Chinese customs.
Buddhism is the only religion the Chinese actually travelled to a land far and peculiar to them to bring it to China. The travellers risked their lives under dangerous conditions to get there and they had to master the local dialects of India in order to be able to translate the buddhist scriptures once they brought it back to China.
The Chinese immigrants are the actual ambassadors of buddhism throughout the world.They are the ones who lay the ground works for buddhism in many countries. This fact has been acknowledge by a Sri Langkan Chief monk who became a naturalised Malaysian Dr.K Sri Dhammananda.
Christianity has been in China along time ago but made no headway.
You can try to influence the mainland Chinese through Hong Kong. I smell covert actions there. Anything not done out of sincerity will fail.
