United States intelligence analysts are not convinced by the evidence offered so far by Pakistani authorities that a militant linked to Al Qaeda was responsible for Benazir Bhutto's assassination, American officials said Tuesday.

Pakistani authorities, working from a single intelligence intercept collected the day after Ms. Bhutto's death, have identified a militant leader, Baitullah Mehsud, as the chief suspect behind the attack.

Well at least someone has the intellect to inquire about her assassination. It seems very illogical that she hit her head on the sunroof as she as going back inside of her SUV. I believe that the fundamentalists who hated her family were ultimately responible for her death, but it was assisted by Musharraf and his bunch. That idiot just doesn't want to give up control of that country because he is hoarding the billions that the U.S. are sending to the region. But if he stays in power and is seen as a friend of Bush/Chaney, he will be next.

Typical of our arrogant foreign policy that our government or any part of our government should think that they can call the shots on the investigation of Bhutto's death. Did we entertain for a nanosecond outside investigation of JFK's murder? How about the 9/11 attacks? And yet, we expected everyone in the world to accept the "magic bullet" theory in JFK's murder and all of the misinformation handed out by the 9/11 Commission. This attitude is a perfect example of what needs to be changed in the future governance of this country.

The timing of Benazir Bhutto's assassination creates an untimely, and unfortunate diversion. Political discussion regarding the political beneficiaries of the fall-out from this tragedy leads to a conclusion, i.e., those that benefit from manipulating elections, including our 2007 Presidential election are not the Democratic candidates, but the trifecta currently occupying the White House, Bush, Cheney, and Dr. Rice. An Asian Tiger rose for the people of Pakistan....

Why would anyone think that it matters whether or not we are " . . . not ready to accept Pakistan's findings on Bhutto's death"?

And, since when did the US think the Bhutto family was allthat?

The U.S. won't accept the findings by the Pakistani government on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, yet we still accept the "findings" (a.k.a. Warren Commission Report) on the assassination of JFK? Can you spell "h-y-p-o-c-r-i-s-y" ?

Who cares what the US thinks? Pakistan will say whatever it takes to keep the billions coming in, and we are foolish enough to give.

It wasn't Al Qaeda . . . the Pakistan press seems to think it was sources in the military . . .she was murdered in a military town . . . there was no way Al Qaeda was involved

So what? I mean it, really. So Pakistan is run by a bunch of corruptable deluded religous-fundametalists, just like this country lately. How would we feel if they stamped their feet and insisted on having their say on our domestic policy? Whatever problems they are having, once they've settled it themselves the solution will be better than anything we can pressure onto them.

Why does Fatima Bhutto hate America so much?

I wish I could be a rich, silver spoon, Columbia University educated, ungrateful, spoiled brat like her.

The only reason anyone even published her dumb poems was because she's a Bhutto.

She is completely ungrateful to Benazir Bhutto for the path she paved for women in the Middle East.

All she does is traipse around with all of her money bashing her aunt whenever anyone is dumb enough to listen to her.

Fatima Bhutto isn't half the woman Benazir Bhutto was. I wonder if Fatima is happy her aunt had her head blown off?

Typical though of a foreigner, take no personal responsibility for your own actions and blame America for all of your problems!

What a spoiled, ungrateful brat!

So the Bush Govt is saying or pretending that the CIA didn't set up this hit on Mme Bhutto by laying the blame on others who are even less credible than Bush & Co. - if thats possible! Then again Bush couldn't pull off this evil and so much more and worse without lots of willing help from CNN;FOX and the rest of the Right Wing US Media!

"United States intelligence analysts are not convinced by the evidence offered so far by Pakistani authorities that a militant linked to Al Qaeda was responsible for Benazir Bhutto's assassination, American officials said Tuesday."

CIA: "Our BS is better than your BS!! C'mon, as gullible as the American public is, you can do better than that!!"

As for the rest of our planet, nobody in their right
mind would accept the government of Pakistans
findings or fumbling explanation either.
As we Brits say,"Pull the other leg,it's got bells on."
