CBS Takes Control Of Its College Sports Network

CBS Sports took a firmer grip on CSTV, the college sports media company it acquired in late 2005, by announcing Thursday that it was taking over day-to-day control of it from the last of its three founders, Brian Bedol, who will soon leave CBS.

CSTV will be run by Tony Petitti, the executive vice president of CBS Sports, and overseen by Sean McManus, the president of CBS News and Sports. CBS bought the television and Internet operations of CSTV for $325 million in stock and will now integrate its sales, marketing, public relations and Internet operations with those of CBS Sports.
