Durham, N.H. -- Hillary Clinton had planned to address two of her liabilities today -- her dismal level of support among young, well-educated voters, and her image of impermeability -- by holding a Q&A session with University of New Hampshire students, but her campaign entourage was, uncharacteristically, two hours late, sorely testing the patience of the 20 or so students waiting for her.

When Clinton did finally pull into the parking lot in front of the Bagelry here, Clinton told the remaining assembled students: "I particularly want to give young voters a chance to ask the questions they have," noting that the debate tonight is sponsored by Facebook, the networking site heavily used by students.

Clinton sought to portray her campaign as a vehicle for idealism, offering young voters the chance to participate in a crusade similar to the one Barack Obama now is seen as leading: "One of the reasons I am running for president is I love this country and I don't want to see it sort of slip away from us," she said. Clinton described in detail her efforts helping to negotiate a peace agreement in Northern Ireland and her work encouraging provision of services for refugees in Macedonia.

Over and over again, the former First Lady returned to the theme of youth.

In a critique of the Bush administration's tax and spending policies, Clinton warned the gathering that "the way the Bush policies will play out, this [the deficit and national debt] is all going to be dumped on you, the young generation."

Similarly, she told the students -- far outnumbered by members of the press and her staff -- that "if you look at the income data, this is the first time young people are on a trend to not do as well as their parents....we've got to get the economy producing jobs again."

With only three days to go before the New Hampshire primary, Clinton faces an uphill struggle, with long odds against making substantial inroads into Obama's support among young voters, if the Iowa results are any guide. As an indicator of the generational divide at work, Obama got his degree from Harvard Law School in 1991; Clinton graduated from Yale Law School in 1973.

Network entrance polls from the January 3 Iowa caucuses showed Barack Obama crushing Clinton by a 5 to 1 margin, 57-11, among voters aged 17 to 29, a development that has become particularly damaging this year, with Iowa demonstrating that young voters are turning out in far higher percentages than in past contests.

Our nation's greatest 'state motto' is "Live Free or Die !"

These are not crazy people's words... they are about Passion for Freedom.

-LIVE FREE or DIE ! -

Maybe I'm wrong... but I don't believe that the folks who first struck those words had in mind promoting a person based on who they're related too. I believe that they had quite the opposite in mind.

America is a Democracy - Not a Monarchy.

Barack Obama for President of the UNITED States of America.

I don't see what others see as dfar as Huff po being an Obama website now. I see that he has done more recently to put him on the front page and he is the first runner when Clinton is a scary dreary face of a grandma with ice cold veins. edwards is still trying and doing better than he had. More is written about the clintons than Obama and those who only see obama better look at the levvel of maybe racism in their vision or anger at something not this site. What you want is fair an balanced and you won't find it on the web or in life. You want to see others written about then go find the republican site. This site is doing their job. If you don't like Obama it's a free world but get your facts straight!! By the way if you are a hil and bill lover she has a lot in the closet and she's another version of bush. If you like her then you like him.

I would never vote for Hillary period but I could see myself voting for Obama. He gave a great speech the other night which shows he's a uniter, not a divider like Clinton. I'm sick to death with the two parties fighting & can't get anything done, like an energy bill.

AAmerica will vote for a woman. i voted for Ann Richards and she won Governor of Texas. I just won't vote for that woman, Hillary Clinton. People that do not work hard on their own merit do not deserve my vote. And enough already with the crap from NY, that job was given to her too. The debates tonight will stop her flat in her tracks. She rose through the ranks on a ploy and now she won't go negative, sure she will.

The problem with Democrat candidates has always been not been able to go head to head with republicans ... & be tuff with them. The past elections going back to 20 years has been a graveyard for Democrats. Look at Mondale, Dukakis, Gore & Kerry all capable people but too nice, The RepugThugs always beat them with God, Guns, gays & abortion issues (which have no relevance in ordinary people lives) in terms of providing jobs, health insurance, food for the families etc On top of that the Thugs have the money to swiftboat those who have decent chance to win, put out some fear ... Put in some lies & the hypocrite godly leaders like Pat Roberston, haggard, brother Paul, & the rest ...The circle is complete & they win. We need Democratic candidates who can go head to head with these RepugThugs or they will meet the same fate.
If Obama is the candidate (He is good fellow) The Thugs will eat him alive even before the day starts & he wont know what hit him.
Lies, hypocracy of God, corrupt Thugs with money from the very buisness people they gave tax cuts to...& mix in the equally corrupt/hypocrite scam artists like Pat Roberston etc & it is tuff combination to beat. History proves it ...

I am sick of the Huffington Post. Obama is a product, a media creation, and Huff is the biggest buyer.
