Maybe all the current administration needs is to be banged on the head a bit more - as Ventura obviously has seen the light after all the side swipes he has taken. The truth serum elexir, mayhap?

I want everybody to run Jesse Ventura, Mike Bloomberg as independents, Cynthia McKinney as a Green, Ron Paul for the Libertarians, Barack Obama/Hillary for the Democrats and whoever (Huckabee?) for the Republicans. The more candidates the better I say. We need more voices in politics, our two-party system is part of the problem not part of the solution.

Bravo, Jesse. It is so rare to see a brave and honest politician/writer. Well, he is not getting a favorable treatment from the media and the chickenhawks will not be paying his bills. It is too bad that around a half of the voters are not smart enough or are ignorant suicidal lunatics.

Jessie may not be the best politician, but that is one of his better traits. He is however a person who is for the American Citizen and America over and above the pond scum capitalistic who currently run our country. Id personally like to see him walk into congress and kick each and everyones ass in that place. Toss them out the doors, and force us to elect all new, non political , no lawyer, non corporate capitalist. Just ordinary folks who live and work here in the US. Take the Cons out of Congress, and put the people back in it where they belong.
And Jessie doesnt have to be running for president when he does it either. Just kick ass and only take names to make sure they are all leaving congress now. Then, we could elect him for President so he can make sure it wont just be a repeat of the same old US capitalistic pimps pushing Congressional greedy whores down the throats of America again.

I know its a fantasy. Religious people fantasize the defeat of Satan. Poor people fantasize being wealthy, or just able to pay the bills each month. Working Class fantasizes about having a fair shake. So let me fantasize about the US not under US style Capitalistic rule and whores in congress and the white house, so all the above mentioned can have their fantasizes come true.

Minnesota had a major case of buyer's remorse with Jesse

Suuuure, the killer has got to be the Latin guy! :P

There was a lot of talk of a presidential run after he surprised everybody in getting the governorship of Minnesota but then he disappeared. Last time I saw him was when he endorsed Kerry for president and he looked out of his mind (he was sporting dreadlocks!).

I do admire Jessie's upfront honesty about controversial subjects. I can't say I always agree with him, but if someone "gets" most of it, and is willing to do something about it, then it's better than what we got now.

I'm sure Andrew Jackson, hero to some, jackass to others, was outspoken but not always right about everything. He sure was right about corporations. They've gone through cycles of power/robbery every since the 1800's. They're just playing harder and creeping deeper every time.

We've got to get beyond wedge issues, and vote for candidates who understand the big picture. Of course, I'll have to plug for Ron Paul, Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich as the ones who at least will do something about it.

Jesse is well suited to the role of court jester. You know, the one who can speak the truth with impunity by weaving it into a fabric of nonsense. Jesse is no more a revolutionary than was King George's jester (that's King George III and not King George II).
