In an emotional campaign event, Democrat John Edwards was joined Sunday by three families that suffered medical tragedies as he continued to pound insurance companies for what he calls greedy decisions that hurt working families.

Some in the Manchester audience of 500 fought tears as they heard from the mother, father and brother of Nataline Sarkisyan of California, who died last month at 17. The family blames a health insurance company that declined to authorize payment for a liver transplant until just before she passed away.

Health insurance? Socialized medicine? Man, that talk was LAST month. This is the new democrat-on-the-street......attention span's the length of an Adult Swim cartoon, no grasp of union labor, don't even talk about the past, they weren't there and don't remember. The new democrat voter is ready to bandwagon whatever's hot this week. Corporatism? They hate it, but they don't vote like they hate it. Vote Kucinich.

I look forward to Obama and Edwards playing good cop, bad cop with the insurance companies, Big Pharma, Big Oil and the MIC in the next administration.

We Democrats are not anti-business. We just resent the playing field being tilted by the mega corps, hurting smaller businesses along the way. Just like the top few percent in income are taking wealth from the middle class, our economy is being stifled due to their greed.

Populism is the cure for the cancer of corporatism.

Edwards certainly has convinced me he is a fighter. While I may be for Gore, failing that Obama, I'd love to see Edwards as Attorney General -- for 8 years. In the spirit of Bobby Kennedy as Attorney General, who fought state governments by sending in the National Guard to force de-segregation and protect marchers, to tackling the mob. Edwards could be that kind of fighter for the average American against corporate greed. I really think he could. Are you listening Barak? He could be your Bobby to your Jack.

I admire John Edwards, and suspect he is on a mission that will transcend his outcome in the primaries. I was flipping though the channels and came across his speech with the Sarkasian family and found it to be quite compelling, and profound. The girl's mother, father, and brother (who'd had an operation to donate his bone marrow to his sister) were poignant in their grief and their courage to push for action to prevent any other kids from having to die because, in essence, the insurance company says they must. I believe Edwards will continue to crusade for health care justice and will play a critical role in reform, president or not.

I am going to say it again. Talk is cheap. The public needs socialized medicine. The nonsense it won't be as good as what we have now, is nonsense. Hey, people are dying who can't get healthcare. Children, heroes, families. Tests are not being run by those who refuse to get supplimental insurance. More deaths from this. This is better than socialized medicine? Excuse me? have I missed something? Talk to the elderly who can't afford supplimental, who are refused from pre exsisting condition. Talk to fire fighters who can't get healthcare from insurance companies who don't think lung damage is lethal. The list of those who need it is endless. Its not about laziness, people with money cannot get insurance, its greed. Until someone has the balls to say enough is enough, and I am saying it now. Until that happens, and we see those in need getting healthcare, nobody should say, status quo is working. Didn't anyone see Sicko? Don't any of you know people, family who can't get healthcare, who struggle on a daily basis or who have died needlessly? Dammit people wake the hell up. Its a moral issue. How anyone can deny healthcare I ask you this....How do you sleep at night knowing you killed someone, expedited thier death, illness? Money won't stop the nightmares, not worth it. Socialized medicine. We Have to have it.

As someone who has been without healthcare for the last 10 years, let me say this. Is America sniffing glue? We need socialized medicine in this country, end of story. You have people dying from lack of proper treatment, those getting denied care from pre exsisting condition, those who cannot afford it, insurance agencies who are abusing the elderly with con jobs. Who is proffitting? Those running who are taking money for thier campaigns. Edwards needs to go to communities that have people dying, suffering needlessly from lack of health insurance. Its not a political issue, its a moral one. You want to talk morality, ok, the public should not be dying from greedy insurance providers. Unless Obamma, Edwards plans on getting socialized medicine into this country, nothing is going to change. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. I am from Mo. The show me state. Ok Big mouths, show me.
