Clinton Hits Obama On Abortion

AP:

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton criticizes rival Barack Obama's record on abortion rights in a mailing sent to New Hampshire voters _ her first direct attack on the Illinois senator since his victory in Iowa.

The mailer says that seven times during his time in the Illinois state Senate, Obama declined to take a position on abortion bills, while Clinton has been a defender of abortion rights.

During his eight years in the legislature, Obama cast a number of votes on abortion and received a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council for his support of abortion rights, family planning services and health insurance coverage for female contraceptives. He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive, a vote that especially riled abortion opponents.

If Blacks fall for what you pundits are putting out there - then they will deserve what you get and that is another REPUGNANT in the white house. This is what you did in the early 2000 and look at what you got.

Hillary is the Rosa Klebb of the DINO blue dog dems.

However, her policies are not much different to Obama's. Both are corporate shills, but Obama has the best line in bullshit. If you desire real change, not just talk, you better look elswhere.

Its all very nice to have a minority American run for President or even become President, but the track record ois not good. Consider Clarence Thomas and Condoleezza Rice, who sold out to the ratwing right.

Nice to see her shrew colors are coming out, it further exemplifies how tawdry she can be. Oh say , here's a movie full of interesting things about stuff the Clinton regime has helped perpetuate. It is a historical perspective on how not only the republicans but Clinton's too have misrepresented and undermined the core values of the constitution and what this country could have been. It's an excellent demonstration of all sorts of things none of them want to talk about but which if taken in context could certainly help others understand just how pathetic things have become. Suggesting that Clinton is concerned about ordinary people is simply bullshit, see for yourself. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173

Arianna, stop being mean to Edwards. I understand you are not impressed with the Clinton mockery. I am going to vote for Edwards. I think he has a strong message and is presidential. Whenever Kucinich and Nader meddle, they are likely to be working for the republican political machine. They are parasites and spoilers. Sorry.

Obama is a republican insider and a hack who has taken funds from the corporate lobbyists and attacks them whenever it is convenient - a Clinton strategy.

Republicons can't win without lying, cheating, stealing, caging, disenfranchising and election fraud. You just don't have the numbers, as most independents vote Dem now.

The corporate elites have their money on Clinton. It's time to bring new people to Washington, not the same old crap that'll do nothing but help the wealthy and corporations.

Also, people like Kenneth Pollack and Micheal O'Hanlon from the Brookings Institue are supporting Clinton, policy wonks you called for the invasion of Iraq. They also have close ties with neocon scumbags. On CSPAN last week, there was O'Hanlon doing a talk at AEI, the central neocon think-tank.

The only thing I am hoping for is the defeat of Clinton. She will be a disaster for the party and the country.

Distortion, stretching the truth, mischracterizing,(Lying) are tantmount to falsifying. So I don't have a problem with the headline. It's calling a spade a spade, instead of using softer terms. It's like the mailer they used in IA and used a quote from Mr Ed to make it appera as though Ed was criticizing Obama. This low-brow deception shit is unethical, and it demonstrates just how desperate Hill is to occupy the WH. It borders on a sick obsession. The more she exposes of her truer self, the more she's turning off the electorate. And rightfully so.

Reposted at his daughters request:

JackSlappyNotYourPappy
Please say a prayer for my father!

Yesterday afternoon my father (CarlV, JackSlappy, et al) had emergency heart bypass surgery. I know he loves this site and has many friends here so I thought you should know and doubt he would mind.

He is still in ICU and will be apparently for a few days.

Your kind thoughts and prayers are very welcome!

Thank you

Dana

If someone would kindly repost this later for others to see I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you again,

Hillary has been voting with the NeoConservatives for so long now - she is now campaigning like them.

If she can't win with her own beliefs - she will start throwing mud, making up lies and will distorting the facts.

Karl Rove must be sooooo proud of Hillary.

The conversion of Hillary is now complete.

Oh goody.
Maybe they'll cancel each other.
Maybe voters will vote for change and not the same old.
Maybe voters aren't sheep.

Maybe pigs really will grow wings and fly.

'The most interesting thing about David Brooks' recent pro-Obama column in The New York Times — along with Obama-friendly observations by Karl Rove and Rove's former deputy Peter Wehner — is that they mark Obama as Republicans' favorite Democratic candidate for president. But Brooks has also fallen into the delusional style. He likes Obama, he says, because of the senator's "character and self-knowledge" which "matter more than even experience." (Give Brooks credit for consistency; he said more or less the same thing in praise of George W. Bush in 2000.)'
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/12/21/opinion/main3639210.shtml

'Right now, Obama is drawing praise from the likes of George Will, Peggy Noonan, and Stephen Hayes. But Glenn Greenwald and John Cole figure that the Republican flirtation with Obama will dissipate and turn into rage quickly if he’s the nominee.'
http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/archives/2008/01/republicans_for_barack_obama/

Meanwhile, the pundits are "hooked on a feeling":

'Eight years ago, defiance of reality in favor of delusions about instinct helped bring the incumbent president to the White House. A catastrophic presidency ensued — directed largely on George W. Bush's intuition. Today's Obama-awed commentators, unchastened by that experience, describe breathlessly his "intuitive sense of the world." No doubt if Obama falters, these pundits will someday find another intuitive child of destiny to call their own. What remains to be seen is if American voters will prove to be more skeptical — and more reality-based — than the pixilated experts.'
