Clinton Hits Obama On Abortion

AP:

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton criticizes rival Barack Obama's record on abortion rights in a mailing sent to New Hampshire voters _ her first direct attack on the Illinois senator since his victory in Iowa.

The mailer says that seven times during his time in the Illinois state Senate, Obama declined to take a position on abortion bills, while Clinton has been a defender of abortion rights.

During his eight years in the legislature, Obama cast a number of votes on abortion and received a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council for his support of abortion rights, family planning services and health insurance coverage for female contraceptives. He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive, a vote that especially riled abortion opponents.

What is the difference between a woman in a bathtub and a Democrat ?

One has a soul full of hope.

Hoping and wishing does nothing.

It's the doing what counts.

Even if he is elected what can Obama do against all the DINOs and Blue Dogs in Congress? They always side with the Republicans except on gay marriage and abortion.

Who the heck is making these decisions in the Clinton camp?

I'm about to fll off the Hillary band wagon and land squarely in the Obama wagon.

Displeased Dem - but hey - we have choices. The other side has a preacher, a teacher, an old man and spam in a can.

With Obama as the 'frontrunner' now, it is his turn to deal with the vetting and the scrutiny. Clinton has been viciously attacked for a year now in the media and on the blogs.
With the holidays over now, and Obama's big momentum, people all over this country are taking notice of the race.
All 50 states have equal say in this race, and are not going to be told what to do by the media based out of New York City.
Also, the people around this country are generally moderate, and not affected by glamor and glitz.
Let Obama state his positions and real time solutions, and let the chips fall where
they may.

The Republicans have been pushing Obama like crazy, thinking he would be easy to take out in the General, now they are going to regret that decision.
I think Hillary will be masterful as an underdog.

Those expressing shock at the VERY long-standing leanings of HuffPo toward Obama are either brand new posters, or disingenuous liars.

It is refreshing to see so many comments that agree in various ways with my own previously posted sentiments. The poll numbers on the front page, for example, do not come from any poll. They are the average of a large number of recent polls, and the numbers are meaningless.

Not only are the photos of Clinton intentionally uncomplimentary, hard facts about Obama are missing, and those that are already out there are being spun to make Obama a boy scout.

Obama cannot win the Presidency. This website is not looking at the facts. Like Republicans for the past eight years, the effort to stuff Obama into a leadership position is irrational in every way.

Unless this is a Republican website "under cover". In that case, a lot of us are fools, and we've been had.

What is going on here with Huffington Post? This is unbelievable!!! I read this article really looking to be informed that "Clinton Campaign Falsifies Obama Abortion Record". I didn't even notice the photos until after I read this horrendously distorted article.
Let's be clear folks...Seven times during his time in the Illinois state Senate, Obama declined to take a position on abortion bills"...that is TRUE! Senator Clinton didn't add the rest of his record but she didn't falsify his record. THAT IS HIS PART OF HIS RECORD JUST LIKE THE TIMES HE DID SHOW UP AND VOTED ON ABORTION BILLS ARE PART OF HIS RECORD.
After reading the article, I went back a couple of times to the heading to make sure I didn't misread the title...that's when I realized the clear Hitler like photo of Senator Clinton and the Angelic like photo of Senator Obama.
We can go to FOX NEWS, Drudge, Rush & Co for this kind of garbage.
This website has become a shrill mess. I'm trying to pick the best democrat from this field of great democrats to give my vote. I look to this site for honest education. I'm disgusted that I spent my time reading that article and disappointed I had to send this comment.

Shame on Hillary Rodham for her false attacks on Obama. This proves she will stop at nothing to get into the White House.

It IS interesting to observe the very decided bias against Clinton on Huffington Post. Unfortunate because I can imagine that they will begin to lose some of the diversity of voices that many appreciate hearing on this site.

I understand that this is an opinion blog, and that it appears to be putting it's weight behind Obama, but I think it's impolitic when those with other opinions are met with such vitriol and even told if they don't like the pro-Obama slant here they can just get the hell off the site. Wow!

Reminds me of those ardent supporters of the Vietnam War who met opposition to their stance with "Love America or Leave it."

After seven years of the Bush administration, lying is not a tactic you want to use to ascend to the presidency.

A sign of a losing campaign: Avoid Meet The Press - Go on Access Hollywood

Tim Russert mentioned casually that Hillary declined MTP and instead booked Access Hollywood for tomorrow. This is not a casual matter however. This is another evidence of a losing POLL-itician(this is not misspelling, it is intentional)desperately looking for a lifeline. The POLLS conducted by this POLL-itician probably showed she is doing poorly among the young and should try Access Hollywood(this is in addition to playing a "change" music on the campaign trail and packing the back drop with 18 and 19 year olds who look distant and disconnected on camera because they probably are not volunteers and they were told to sit there). It looks so pathetic and artificial.

I love this. The Left Attacking the Left for their hateful, treacherous, lying, scumbaggery.

Funny, this sh*t doesn't happen on the right. WONDER WHY PUSSBAGS?

Enjoy your defeat douche-bags, it's between a man's wife, and a two year senator who has spent that entire two years campaigning. If I didn't despise the left so much this would be funny, oh hell, it's still funny.

Huff Po's coverage of the Democratic portion of the race is heavily biased toward Obama, and flat out wrong on the data it claims support Obama and trash Clinton.

To get reliable information, I now have to visit CNN and Fox News.

Blindsiding those of us who visit this site with this kind of nonsense is wrong. It helps the argument that Judy Miller and George Bush have a higher standard of ethics than those who have lost their perspective in the zeal to drive voters where they will not go.
