Hillary Iraq Resolution

Politico:

In Nashua, Hillary skates on the edge of Iraq revisionism:

"After 9/11, I would never have taken us to war in Iraq," she said. "I would have stayed focused on Afghanistan because the real threat was coming from there."

Now, that's probably true in the literal, alternate history sense: As president, she wouldn't have taken the U.S. into war. But it also revives a conversation that had flagged, about her initial vote for the use of force.

No doubt Hillary saw the 2002 measure in the light of Andrew Jackson's Force Bill in the 1830s. That did not lead to a war with South Carolina; so why should President Bush's bill mean war would follow?

Was she using the trademarked Clinton wagging finger of lying when she said that?

And tomorrow will she be saying, "well, it depends on what the definition of take is"...?

We all look and feel better playing the hindsight game - however, it is the ones who win with the foresight thoughts that inspires that vote of confidence - which the "experienced" Hillary doesn't quite get. You get one shot at this game of life, and in hindsight, Americans have a clear view of who knows best from the get-go.

Hillary can not avoid the reality that the most important decision she made as a Senator was to vote to allow Bush to go to war. Without even taking the time to read the Intelligence, which she could have done because presumably she now does have a security clearance. If Hillary really cares about The United States then she will pull out after the New Hampshire electorate rejects her status quo approach to politics. We need change! We need to change from the acrimonious politics that Lee Atwater, James Carville and Karl Rove brought us. It isn't about getting elected, any democrat that gets the nomination will be elected, it is about being able to govern once you are elected. The one democrat that can never be able to govern is Hillary. Barack is the best equipped to bring us the change we need so that we can once again have the respect of the world and be the UNITED States of America
