Although the presidential ambitions of Sen. Hillary Clinton have been bruised in recent days, former President Bill Clinton isn't surprised.

"This campaign is playing out exactly as I thought it would," Clinton told a crowd of students gathered at Dartmouth College Monday night. "All the pundits, as usual, are wrong. I always [told Hillary] 'You'll have a hard time winning the primaries, but if you get nominated, you'll win the general election by a wide margin'."

What does Obama ever say?

It's just mom and apple pie.

His specific ideas suck:

His Patent reform Ideas created a disastrous patent reform bill that would have legalized big corps harassment of individual inventors and small companies. It would have made it much more expensive for individuals to patent, and take much longer. It eliminates one of Americas greatest patent advantages:

In the USA, you can have your patent witnessed and set a invention date. This allows the inventor time to refine the idea and get investors, before getting on the patent treadmill. Once you get your patent, you have to pay big fees to keep it in force. These fees and the patent lawyers fees required are a severe hardship for individuals and small companies, in the 1-3 years while they are trying to get sales going. Monopolistic big companies often shortsightedly like the way this keeps down the upstarts.

The reform allows big companies to send fleets of lawyers to shoot down your patent before you even get it! Now you have to spend big bucks on lawyers before you even start!

This is Obama's "Gold Plated Patent". No thanks.

Say bye bye to the individual inventor.

A pro big corp, DLC, anti little guy bill if ever there was one.

Fortunately some responsible big business objections and inventors outcry combined to stop the bill the day before it would have gone into effect.

The biggest problem with the patent system now, is the insane decision to allow the patenting of software, business models etc... Regular patents on hardware for instance are usually less then 25 pages. Software patents can be thousands of pages. Most of it written in code that doesn't work and probably doesn't even compile. Software needs it's own separate system, NOT patents.

All the other Patent Office problems are just budget and management.

Change? You had change with "W", you will have CHANGE with ANY candidate....the question is CHANGE to WHAT??? Obama says nothing but, "We are going to change the world", "WE are gonna bring America together!!!"...Hey, that works....get in the White House, he dreams, we dream....and hallalujah..together it is...."I have a dream!!!!" Okay, folks sit back and watch...that is IF he gets there..because you don't like negativity??? Wait until the Republican party gets a hold on the change guy....Let's see they will say Osama....oh, I mean Obama....they will say Barack Hussein Obama....Hussein over and over....that is only the beginning. I know THAT is wrong but with the dumbed-down public and the fear factor these little jerks fell for originally...look out...plus tapes of Obama, I mean Osama (see)....then a few made up threats...well, seen this movie before. Clinton may not be your folks "change" but she can fight it better, I know. Women have more balls. No? Look at Kerry, look at some of the other Democrats that have tried to win in Congressional seats....No, get ready for your next Republican president and from the crowd that is running, oh, this will be a riot! Follow like the litte sheep now and go along with the media and get the WANDER BOY of CHANGE and Repubs....THEY WILL WIN IT. WATCH!!!!

With all due respect, somebody in the Clinton campaign needs to shut the former President up and send him on a goodwill tour around the world or something. The biggest mistake Hillary made in this campaign was to use Bill so heavily. She needs to be herself, out front and center, and win this on her merits alone. She can do that. She is a natural leader with great ideas and an superlative resume! She DOES NOT NEED BILL getting in her way, soaking up all the attention, and saying stupid stuff like this all the time. He is such an egotist -- everything is always all about him -- Him -- HIM! It's been such a huge mistake for her to have him so visible during the campaign. It breaks my heart, because I truly believe that she is an amazing leader and would make an excellent president, but her campaign has been so poorly run... Sigh...

Eessh ... President Clinton, did you REALLY think it was going to play out THIS way?

Someone just sent me this link to this video of New Jersey/Obama. And while Bill Bradley has just announced his endorsement of Obama, I still did find the energy on this video coming out of NJ, typically has been considered a Hillary strong-hold state, a bit shocking -- not only enthusiastic citizen supporters in the state, but several elected state politicians.

Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9OUC3CraKtk

Whoa .. The momentum spreading from the Obama campaign seems absolutely unstopable! It seems it won't be suprising if he wins NJ, perhaps even her adopted home state of NY on super-duper Friday ....

This is REALLY exactly how you thought it would play out?

Bill Clinton's ideas of winning the general election may have been applicable in '92, but he is mistaken to make a formula for winning out of what worked in a given moment. As always, time marches on and circumstances and people change. Clinton also benefitted from the Ross Perot candidacy. If there is a third party candidate, it is impossible to say how he/she will impact the election. I thought he was smarter than he's lately showing himself to be. Heart surgery? Insufficient oxygen to the brain?

So do you suppose Hillary will throw all her money behind Obama when she drops out? It would be the right thing to do, certainly a change she could be proud of.

Obama at 40 percent? Where? In the District of Colombia? I am sure he will take the D.C. primary
if Marion Berry endorses him.

Bill Clinton must have inhaled that pot because it is sure coming out now. Wnat smoke he blows- he is fully aware of the fear that Hillary is unelectable if nominated and just trying to keep you from focusing on that so as to keep her current votes in the primary. With 5 times as much spent and losing to Edwards she should bow out now. This would let Democrats pick who the majority of them would support. At this time she is just keeping the voices of the people from being heard. Hopefully she understands that most believe she really has little meaningful change in her agenda. Do not be a tool of the republicans- Hillary- let the people's choices, Edwards and Obama fight it out. The bible says pride goeth before a fall, Hillary do not let your pride be the downfall of the democrats at the hands of the republicans and Karl Rove.

FREEDOM FROM RELIGION IS A HUMAN RIGHT

Muslims demand that French President Nicolas Sarkozy visits WITHOUT HIS GIRLFRIEND.

“RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: A senior Saudi official called on French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Monday to respect Saudi Arabia's CONSERVATIVE ISLAMIC CULTURE by visiting the country later this month without his former supermodel girlfriend.

Sarkozy, who divorced his wife Cecilia in October, has flaunted his relationship with Carla Bruni on recent holidays in Egypt and Jordan, drawing criticism that he is being too loose with the presidential image.

The Saudi diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue, said Sarkozy should leave Carla Bruni behind for "RELIGIOUS REASONS" when he visits the kingdom on Jan. 13.

Under the strict interpretation of Islamic law enforced in Saudi Arabia, unmarried or unrelated couples are not permitted to be alone together. Westerners are expected to abide by the rules in public, and many hotels will not check unmarried Western couples into a single room.”
