After Mike Huckabee's first place showing in Iowa last week, everyone's trying to take credit for the GOP contender's victory. Conan O'Brien was the first to claim responsibility, saying Friday night that his popular "'Walker, Texas Ranger' Lever" segment, in which he pulls a lever to play a ridiculous clip from the Chuck Norris show (see example in video below), revived the career of Norris, who then popularized Huckabee's campaign. On last night's "The Colbert Report", Colbert presented a more straight-forward approach. He claimed that Huckabee's appearances on his show gave the candidate the "Colbert Bump", which, according to Wikiality, the truthiness encyclopedia, is "the curious phenomenon whereby anyone who appears on "The Colbert Report" gets a huge boost in popularity, causing them to win elections". Check out the clips below and tell us what you think in the comments. Who do you credit with creating all this Huckabee buzz?
