Gone In 15 Seconds: President Bush Sums Up His Legacy

On such a momentous day - filled with voting and hope and mavericks and Carvilles and fairy tales and Chris Matthews sexually harassing Hillary Clinton and more change than a laundromat - you wouldn't think it would be possible for George W. Bush to horn in on all the media coverage. But he found a way! Namely, by providing a succinct summation of what his presidency has meant to America.

In the seven years that I've been the President we've had a recession, corporate scandals, the 9-11 attack, major national disasters...uhhh...two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq--all that created was uncertainty. Each one of those instances. We've been able to come through it because we've been resilient.

Resilient? You don't know the half of it, Mr. President! Still, if you add the Hainan Island spy plane incident, I'd say he's captured his Presidency perfectly. But, hey, it wasn't all bad! A lot of brush got cleared!

I have news for President Bush- the war in Iraq did not create uncertainty. He did when he decided to go into Iraq. Wars do not just happen by themselves. Bush is a dunce and this brief statement is another example.

This is what my ears heard:
We are having a recession after 7 years of Bushonomics.
We've had an attack, which I didn't even try to prevent even though I was warned.
My administration has been riddled with scandal.
We had a national disastor which my government was completely unequipped to handle, leaving thousands of people still displaced and homeless.
I started a war which I failed to win before starting another war for no good reason that I have poorly executed causing a rise in terrorist sympathizers in the middle east.
All of these caused people to be uncertain of my sanity, while being steadfastly certain of my incompetency.
Through all of the the American people have been resilient enough to vote my party into the minority in congress and call for my impeachment.

I do hope the some of the neoCON, Bushies, republicans (and some democrats)finally realize that focusing on restricting American Individuals from doing what they want to themselves is not the way to run a country.
The republicans focus on stopping gay marriage and marijuana etc... while allowing Your Tax dollars to fund big business through Corporate welfare and illegal wars and spying on Americans.
The Constitution and rule of law have been all but ignored these last 7 years.
