Pentagon Won't Probe KBR Rape Charges

The Defense Department's top watchdog has declined to investigate allegations that an American woman working under an Army contract in Iraq was raped by her co-workers.

The case of former Halliburton/KBR employee Jamie Leigh Jones gained national attention last month. An ABC News investigation revealed how an earlier investigation into Jones' alleged gang-rape in 2005 had not resulted in any prosecution, and that neither Jones nor Democratic and Republican lawmakers have been able to get answers from the Bush administration on the state of her case.

John Edwards is for American workers and America. He should be pointing out these horrible corporate abuses that Cheny/Halliburton engage in and that Hillary & Obama ignore. The Bush administrations actions on raped women does explain a lot of why they dont do a damn thing about what is happening in the Congo right now. Were women hundreds of thousands of woman, and even children young as 8 and 10 years old, are raped by 4 or more solders in front of their own families, then is mutilated when they stab in her with guns , knives or other items.
But like with the Sudan, the Congo doesnt have oil or happen to be in a strategic military position needed by Bush or Corporate America. So to Bush, these people are nothing more than unfortunate casualties. It really makes you sick , and Bush claims to have a direct line to God as well.

This is bull. The govt needs to identify who gave the rape kit and to whom. If KRB did get the kit, they need to be held accountable. It is injustices like this that ruin public faith in the judical system and government. This ladt deserves justice now and not after the statute of limitations has run out. A spokes person for the DOD said, while counting huge stacks of $100 bills, "um, rape, um let me see, somewhere here on my desk, under this kickback from KBR is a memo from the VP that says, ..um..oh! Meanwhile, back at the DOJ, people were busily shredding papers and wiping hard drives. The new Attorney General said, while counting stacks of thousand dollar bills, " we are investigating this matter to the fullest with deliberate speed while moving cautiously as possible to see that justice is obtained for anyone that might have engaged in rape, or fraud, or rape...I already said that, didn't I? Well, yes, these things take time, sometimes you just can't expect to find out who is to really blame and besides we have so many more important things to worry about. Any woman who refuses to wear a beekeeper suit can only expect to excite men to the point where they rape women.
