Kbr Pentagon Investigation

ABC's The Blotter:

The Defense Department's top watchdog has declined to investigate allegations that an American woman working under an Army contract in Iraq was raped by her co-workers.

The case of former Halliburton/KBR employee Jamie Leigh Jones gained national attention last month. An ABC News investigation revealed how an earlier investigation into Jones' alleged gang-rape in 2005 had not resulted in any prosecution, and that neither Jones nor Democratic and Republican lawmakers have been able to get answers from the Bush administration on the state of her case.

"An ABC News investigation revealed how an earlier investigation into Jones' alleged gang-rape in 2005 had not resulted in any prosecution, and that neither Jones nor Democratic and Republican lawmakers have been able to get answers from the Bush administration on the state of her case."

The Bush administration is guilty of so many crimes that they probably will never be held accountable for. The fact that they brushed off the rape and other charges from Abu Grabe(sic) makes this a case where they will continue to obfiscate and delay until they are out of office. The Defense Department is now complicit in rape charges as well if there is no ustice for this woman.

Halliburton/KBR (former CEO Cheney's crew)= Rapist, Murders, Traitors.

It really amazes me how Bill Clinton was impeached for lying about an affair between two consenting adults, and Bush/Cheney are resonsible for the greatest crimes in both number and scope and NOT ONE Reuplican has called for their impeachment. The Republican Party now stands against justice and for muderers, rapists, and miscreant cowards. Hang them all!

This is the cost paid when a government empowers mercenaries. They operate without restrictions or oversight. They are above the law.

Another sign that the US has become a banana republic.

My sympathies and condolences to Ms. Jones - but is anybody shocked by this?

Technically though - since the rape was done by civilians NOT technically working for the Military at the time (at least not directly) I suppose that was their justification.

Another reason for us Americans to make sure that the next Presidential administration is not lock, stock & barrel run by corporations.

We've lost any moral high ground when the Saudis are behaving more honorably than the American government.
