I guess it's O.K.for any politician to imply he is a decent loving daddy with the love and respect of his kids and/or family.Thi­s kind of P/R certainly is nothing new,nor unique to any party!
In the long run,what really counts is the real life character and politics of the candidate under all this sugar coating!
I guess Dubbya's wife and daughters can be called resobably atttractive but,that doesn't change my total dislike and disaproval of Dubbya!
As for McCain,having a reasonably attractive and personable family member does not alter the fact that he was and is a war monger who bombed maimed and killed innocent Vietnamese who never did a thing to harm citisens of the United States!

Why not? Doesn't she love the USA? Heck, she comes from a military family - her grandfather and great grandfather were both US Navy admirals and we know about her father's military record.

Since dear old (and I do mean OLD) dad supports a never ending war in Iraq - she should join her brother and enlist. Just think about it, another McCain kid and Lieberman's daughters all fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here. Excuse me, I just teared up at the thought - kind of like Mitt.

Perhaps the McCain and Lieberman kids can allow some poor National Guard folks to come home and be with their families??

John McCain is the only former prisoner of war that I know of who's been called a war hero.I don't think he resisted questioning to the point of becoming a martyr for the cause or led a riot or escape,etc­.,etc.,nor should he have been expected to . A couple of my relatives have been prisoners of war but they've never been called anything more than unfortunate victims of circumstances. Do you get a medal of some kind for that type of experience? What I've always noticed is that my relatives will not discuss anything about their experiences and just want to forget it. The last thing they would ever do is use that time as a tool to gain sympathy or to imply they were heroes but that's certainly been my impression when I've heard McCain comment about that period of his life. My relatives have just accepted the fact that shit happens and it can happen to anybody,end of conversation. But then neither one of them are scumbag politicians.

I think it's Great that she is participating in her Father's Election. I bet that it is alot of Fun and she is meeting all kinds of people, and will probably continue to blossom even more into a Wonderful Young Lady. I know alot of kids who could care less about these upcoming elections and not only would she attract other young impressionable voters, but hopefully get them involved as well.
I see her as a Positive influence, regardless of her personal Politics, and we need more involvement by our Younger Voters and Not less!

I hope we aren't going to start attacking the children or grandchildren of candidates. It is acceptable that they support their parent or grandparent, and it is not a reason to attack them. So far, so good, let's keep it that way.

Does anyone know anything about her? She is an attractive YOUNG lady. She is just trying to help her Dad. Why denigrate her? If she behaves as some around her age have recently, she would be inviting scorn. In her lifetime her Dad hasn't done anything to embarrass her as Guliani has to his children. She hasn't done anything publicly, privately or politically that I have seen or heard to bring anything down upon herself.Th­e daughters of Truman, Johnson, Carter and Clinton were subjected to snide remarks. It's funny, they were all Democrats. Nixon and Reagan's got a pass. Please, don't anybody claim they were beauties. The Bush daughters were doing their best to follow their old man's alcholic past and they only got mild chastisements.

Never been much of a McCain fan, though it's hard not to have tremendous respect for the personal price that he's paid for his service to our country. Never saw the daughter before... she is absolutely stunning! It won't get me to vote for a Republican, but I believe I will have no problem checking out her blog now and then :)

One look at the awful, piled-on make-up job and the harsh, fake blond hair, and I knew she wasn't a Democrat. Nancy Grace, Kathryn Harris, they would be proud. Republican women have a thing for blue eye shadow, WTF up with that? Bad taste is their badge of honor.

I too think McCain is despicable, but I don't think a 23 year-old daughter would be quite so critical, and while I think it's pretty cynical for the McCain campaign to suddenly drag her out in front of the public, I frankly can't see anything wrong with her wanting to support her old dad.
