Last fall Chris Matthews appeared on the "Daily Show" to promote his book Life's A Campaign. During a painful interview, Stewart called the book "a recipe for sadness" and wildly disagreed with its contents for several minutes. Matthews in turn exclaimed, "This is the book interview from hell! This is the worst interview I've ever had in my life!"

Last night on "The Daily Show" a writerless Stewart played a clip of MSNBC's Matthews and sidekick Keith Olbermann making Lawrence of Arabia metaphors to describe Hillary Clinton the night of the New Hampshire primary. He then mocked it with a metaphor of his own. If you can't watch the clip, know that it ends with Stewart saying of Matthews, "That guy is insane."

After a clip from MSNBC's New Hampshire coverage, during which Chris Matthews gives a lengthy analogy about Hillary Clinton and Lawrence of Arabia, Jon Stewart called Chris Matthew "insane". God Stewart is so good at saying what the rest of reality thinks about this windbag.
Yesterday Matthews basically called the Democratic Party of New Hampshire racists because he was so wrong. Than he said the exit pols bore him out and today several other source on his very network said just the opposite. The exit polls showd i beaking for Clinton. Even Bucahnan would not buy intoit nor any other Libera or Consevitve pundit or journalist. But Chris is desperate vindicatehimself and hi asty ant Clinton bias.

I though I was a lone voice crying out in this guy's hateful universe after watching month after month of Hillary bashing in particular and Clinton bashing in general. The guy is intelligent, but these two people do seem to put him completely round the bend. Incidentally, great clip, but the unsung gem of it is the look on KO's face.

Chris Matthews is sort of like your crazy uncle, and I think he was bugging out over the pressure from being unable to reconcile Hillary's incredible vote bump with entrance and exit polls.

He wasn't alone.

Then again, there's a whole two-hour MSNBC block from 4-6pm PST with liberals tossing confoundingly high-brow, long-winded metaphors back and forth....
