Stewart vs. Matthews Round 2: Jon Calls Chris Insane

Last fall Chris Matthews appeared on the "Daily Show" to promote his book Life's A Campaign. During a painful interview, Stewart called the book "a recipe for sadness" and wildly disagreed with its contents for several minutes. Matthews in turn exclaimed, "This is the book interview from hell! This is the worst interview I've ever had in my life!"

Last night on "The Daily Show" a writerless Stewart played a clip of MSNBC's Matthews and sidekick Keith Olbermann making Lawrence of Arabia metaphors to describe Hillary Clinton the night of the New Hampshire primary. He then mocked it with a metaphor of his own. If you can't watch the clip, know that it ends with Stewart saying of Matthews, "That guy is insane."

After a clip from MSNBC's New Hampshire coverage, during which Chris Matthews gives a lengthy analogy about Hillary Clinton and Lawrence of Arabia, Jon Stewart called Chris Matthew "insane". He is crazy and he doesn't just hate Hillary he hates all women. He says his daughter is just like him and I truly feel sorry for any man who come near that crazy family. HE HATES HILLARY AND BILL AND IS EVIL. MSNBC must enjoy his ranting because they made him someone's boss. SHUSTER was nice until he came in contact with this idiot. HATEFUL MAN.

Chris Matthews has not only shown how far his Clinton hatred is nightly, and wait, he thinks he's veiling it, and how much of a sexist idiot he is. AND I MEAN SEXIST! I don't throw that word around, but he truly is to the point of shocking. Does anyone remember the secret video of him kissing DeLay's ass and bad mouthing Hillary to him? Then DeLay was on the show election night, and he does it again. Thank god Olbermann was there to call him on it. Matthews is truly insane. He has mAnn Coulter on every chance he gets, and then asks his entire panel, "Do you think she's hot?" The guy needs to be ripped off MSNBC. He offers nothing, and is a waste of space on that network.

Chris Matthews is not only insane, he's a sexist prick. Can you imagine substituting blacks for any of the things he says about women? He'd be run out of town on a rail. Let's get rid of him. Contact MSNBC below.

I happen to like Chris Matthews and think he's a fair and good interviewer, his show is entertaining and informative and his show is one of the few that actually discusses issues from all sides with many viewpoints heard. The fact that he doesn't toe a liberal line or a conservative line and occasionally expresses an opinion seems to be what is sticking you many of your craws. Olberman who I like as well sticks on the liberal side and sometimes does so without regard for the truth sad to say.

Matthews is horrendous, but while we're talking about MSNBC, let's not forget about the awful turn Keith Olbermann's show has taken. Keith is becoming as much a fathead on the left as Bill O'Reilly is on the right. What an egomaniac, shamelessly plugging his stupid book of "special comments" every night. Did you know Countdown doesn't accept viewer emails anymore? They're not listening, and it shows. I'm so disappointed, because Countdown is a show I used to love, but I can barely stand to look at it anymore.

The final straw for me was when, as soon as Hillary's poll numbers dropped, all of a sudden, Olbermann and all of his guests were standing in line to knife her in the back. Look, I don't demand that these news people be 100% objective, they're only human, but to turn an entire network into a 24-hour anti-Hillary attack squad is beyond the pale. Now, if Olbermann seemed to favor Obama from the beginning, at least I'd be used to it, but what is with the sudden turn against Hillary? Is this really Keith changing his mind, or is he just falling in line with the higher ups in NBC news who overwhelmingly support Obama? What a cowardly, two-faced jerk.

I've believed for a long time that MSNBC is absolutely overrun by a boys' club mentality, and recent events have only confirmed it. I'm glad that other people seem to finally be taking notice.

The MSNBC Boys' Club, from most chauvinist to least: 1. Tucker Carlson (hates women, especially powerful ones) 2. Willie Geist (talks about strippers, porn stars and prostitutes whenever he can, which is A LOT) 3. Chris Matthews (Who could forget the time he asked Elizabeth Edwards if she bites her husband's balls at home, and then wondered plaintively, "What ever happened to the Stepford Wives?") 4. Joe Scarborough (throws in with Geist) 5. Dana Milbank 6. Pat Buchanan. As for Tim Russert, I don't believe he's a male chauvinist so much as he's a pro-Obama biased moron. Hope I didn't forget anybody.

I'm so glad that people are finally paying attention to Chris Matthews's anti-Hillary tirade! I used to watch Hardball every night, but now it's just unbearable to watch, because he just can't stop talking about Hillary. Matthews needs to take a vacation or something and in order to detox on Hillary Clinton. I hope MSNBC has listened to enough of its viewers to put Matthews on the sidelines for the next primary coverage.

Jon Stewart is an idiot. Grow up and stop speaking like Billy Madison.

Ask yourself this about Mathews. Why has he spent more energy bringing down Hillary than Bush?
He gushed over Bush in his flight suit.
He practicly french kissed Tom Delay
The last time he had his boy friend Gulliani on he said "What an honor to have you on" gag me
He admitted to voting for Bush in 2000
He trashed Gore
And some fellow Dem think it's OK the way he trashes the Clintons?
He might like Obama now but I doubt he'll vote for him.

Unless someone brings a specific show to my attention, I don't watch TV pundits. I lost interest in their useless predictions years ago.

Matthews is a better interviewer than he is an analyst. I don't particularly care for him but there are far worse pundits on TV either in terms of accuracy, Tucker Carlson comes to mind, or in terms of hysteria, Bill O'Reilly comes to mind. Perhaps MSNBC should revise Matthews format and limit his ability to do commentary, Keith Olbermann is the natural for that, and just have Matthews do interviews. He is capable of asking the right question. In his analysis, his own agenda gets his way and his metaphors are obtuse.

Matthews ratings are in the toilet and that is where he should be, with the rest of the asswipes.

Tweety seems to be one of the few things the left and right agree on--he's an absolute buffoon and an embarassment to all decent journalists. He made even Pat Buchanan defend Hillary Clinton, so obvious was Tweety's hatred of her. He has a real problem with women and a creepy, uh, admiration for men such as Fred "you can smell the Aquavela!" Thompson and Rudy.
