Uk Papers Obama

Poynter.org:

The big news this week was that, despite predictions, Sen. Hillary Clinton won the Democratic primary in N.H. But a few major U.K. papers went to press with a different story -- that Sen. Barack Obama won the election.

Patrick Goss, MSN.uk's technology editor, summed up the gaffes: "'Iowa... Hampshire... America? Barack Obama's incredible journey' announced the edition of The Independent that landed on my desk this morning, with a page three feature on 'How Senator Obama gained the momentum.' The Telegraph's front page story was titled 'McCain and Obama take second round,' and The Times' article on the U.S. election in '08 talks of Hillary Clinton watching her support 'melt away.'"

Once again, the UK papers got it right. The gullible American public are willing to allow electronic vote tampering as long as no one expects them to consider the notion that many of their politicians, which comprise the government, are corrupt to the core and will do anything to get and maintain power and wealth. That election got rigged anyway. I may give less credence to polls but EXIT polls are most most often spot-on except in the cases of FL in 2000, Ohio in 2004 and NH in 2008. Go figure. When will the naieve realize the fast chuminess of the Bushies and Clintons over the last few years...a friendly agreement to trade the presidency with Hill to occupy for 8 years until JethroJEB is far enough removed to steal his way into the Big House. The Bushies learned to steal elections in 2000 and perfected it in 2004. The problem is the EXIT polls and because no one wants to piss off the big wigs, the press lets it go that for the third time in history the exit polls don't match the results by unprecedented margins and each time this continues to happen a bush or a clinton will be involved. Good for them for taking advantage of the stupidity of this great public.

The Independent England most left wing newspaper, but not the most popular.
