Clinton In Nevada

New York Times:

The all-new, listening and accessible Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton took her message door to door on Thursday night in a heavily Hispanic working-class neighborhood near downtown Las Vegas. She knocked on doors with campaign workers, urging voters to caucus for her in the coming Democratic contest.

As moments go, the walk down the street of small lots and tidy houses was about as spontaneous as a 500-guest wedding. People along the block were told that she would be coming to the Clinton-friendly neighborhood, and live-news trucks outnumbered onlookers in the street.

If by chance HRC were to win this thing and serve 2 terms that would mean that a Bush or Clinton would be in the executive branch for 36 consecutive years (1980 - 2016). Out of the hundreds of millions of people living in the U.S. that's the best that we can do? People running our country from 2 families? That does not sit well with me. It seems un-American. We can do better and deserve better. Please spread Barack's message of hope and change!

oligarchy:
1. a. Government by a few, especially by a small faction of persons or families.b. Those making up such a government.
2. A state governed by a few persons.

Why is it when anyone is critical of Hillary then they are "haters"? She has a well disciplined Machine that she and Bill put together decades ago to get them to the position they are at today. No hate, just fact. It's all about the photo ops and whatever way the political winds are blowing. They get off on the power and will decimate anyone that gets in the way. Watch and learn.

There is nothing real about this woman. Never is what you see what you get. And she wants us to trust her. Look as the post below by Siren. The Clintons are phonies through and through.

MTP could put some shit in the game if they showed videos of her Hillaryship getting doors slammed in her face. Whomever 1st shows the videos of Sen Clinton being rejected as she goes from door might be willing to share the tapes with MTP & others-if they were given a credit each time their videos were used & were paid enough. The videos will be interesting.

How dare you post this anti-Hillary venom, Arianna!! This blog has really gone downhill with its sexist coverage of Hillary...what? Oh wait, Hillary's campaign invited news coverage? Well, it must be anti-Hillary in some way, and Chris Matthews is probably bashing Hillary too. For shame Arianna!

"Just look back," said Sanjay Puri, who heads the nation's largest Indian American fundraising committee. "The Clintons made a special effort. They went to India. They made a real attempt to reach out to Indian Americans at a time when no one else had done that."

As Clinton pursued a Senate seat in 1999, the Indian American community stepped up its giving. Indian businessman Sant Singh Chatwal raised $500,000 for her in his Upper East Side penthouse, including $210,000 from 14 entities connected to him. Chatwal is now a finance co-chairman for Clinton's presidential campaign, and Clinton aides said they have counted more than $2 million in contributions raised at Indian American events.

Some Indian American connections have benefited the Clintons personally, too. Vinod Gupta, the founder of a Nebraska data-mining firm, has donated more than $1 million to the Clintons' political causes while also paying the former president at least $3.3 million as a business consultant.

Gupta hosted Bill Clinton at the dedication and groundbreaking of the two-story Hillary Rodham Clinton Mass Communication Center he is building on the campus of a women's technical school in rural India. The institution is designed to train India's workforce to better compete in the global marketplace. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/09/08/politics/main3244256_page2.shtml

Clinton vs labor, outsourcing for the money

"Clinton announced that the company would open a software development office in Buffalo and form a research partnership with a local university. Tata told a newspaper that it might hire as many as 200 people.

The 2003 announcement had clear benefits for the senator and the company: Tata received good press, and Clinton burnished her credentials as a champion for New York's depressed upstate region.

Clinton, who portrays herself as a fighter for American workers, had aligned herself with Indian American business leaders and Indian companies feared by the labor movement.

Clinton is successfully wooing wealthy Indian Americans, many of them business leaders with close ties to their native country and an interest in protecting outsourcing laws and expanding access to worker visas. Her campaign has held three fundraisers in the Indian American community recently, one of which raised close to $3 million,

But in Buffalo, the fruits of the Tata deal have been hard to find. The company, which called the arrangement Clinton's "brainchild," says "about 10" employees work here. Tata says most of the new employees were hired from around Buffalo. It declines to say whether any of the new jobs are held by foreigners, who make up 90% of Tata's 10,000-employee workforce in the United States.

As for the research deal with the state university that Clinton announced, school administrators say that three attempts to win government grants with Tata for health-oriented research were unsuccessful and that no projects are imminent.

The Tata deal underscores Clinton's bind as she attempts to lead a Democratic Party that is turning away from the free-trade policies of her husband's administration in the 1990s...
She backs proposals to increase the number of temporary visas for skilled foreigners.

Since 2003, Tata and its affiliates have sought permission to bring more than 1,600 foreign high-tech workers to the state,...

Some U.S. worker organizations say Clinton cannot claim to support American workers if she is also helping Indian outsourcing companies and proposing more worker http://www.indolink.com/displayArticleS.php?id=073007045024045024

Going to a "clinton friendly neigborhood". That is what Bush did by bringing only friendlies to town halls! Don't you all remember that and how that looked? I can't see her doing anything but photo ops for the brand new me she said she found when her eyes got red. HA if people buy it I guess they learned not one little thing from the bush sewage. I for one would like to see the door slam at one but of course that would never be shown. I am dead sure the pulled files on who lived where and if they were dem or not and how to hell did they find clinton friendly? Did they send out the kids to find the doors that would open and smile? Makes me think they went a bit far into people's business so they could show only the friendlies. Bush all over again.

why bother going door to door? can't she just get Diebold to rig the election again like in New Hampshire?

(exit polls do not lie. face the facts.)

Personally, I love it. I just hope she doesn't go completely overboard with this whole "softer side" thing, because it could backfire.
