Napolitano Obama

Associated Press:

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano is endorsing Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for president, The Associated Press has learned.

Napolitano planned to make her intentions known during a conference call Friday, according to an individual familiar with her plans who spoke on condition of anonymity because she hadn't publicly discussed the decision.

The endorsement is a major gain for Obama in his race against chief rival Hillary Rodham Clinton. One of several female governors, Napolitano is in her second term.

If by chance HRC were to win this thing and serve 2 terms that would mean that a Bush or Clinton would be in the executive branch for 36 consecutive years (1980 - 2016). Out of the hundreds of millions of people living in the U.S. that's the best that we can do? People running our country from 2 families? That does not sit well with me. It seems un-American. We can do better and deserve better. Please spread Barack's message of hope and change!

oligarchy:
1. a. Government by a few, especially by a small faction of persons or families.b. Those making up such a government.
2. A state governed by a few persons.

Obama against McCain - any wonder who will walk away with the Presidency?

Arizona wants a President - and it isn't Obama.

And I guess the Donnie McClurkin saga was overlooked by the governor!

More and more establishment players are backing Obama every day. This and having people turning out to vote will make more of a difference than any pole or media blitz could hope for. I'd like to see the guy win, let's get rid of the usual shit and once Obama gets in I expect him to get rid of the status quo infrastructure that has been supporting the goons for the past several decades.

A smart woman with enough intelligence to hold several important jobs in her state including being elected Govenor twice is now being judged as less intelligent and a traitor. And this because she chose to excercise her right to vote for the candidate she liked . and didn't vote for hillary because of shared gender.

I do not care what kind of policy you have if you do not have the votes forget it. Hillary will not pick up seat in anybodies house or senate. She could not pick up seat if she was running for High School President. She is polarizing, cold, calculating, triangulating, and untruthful person. Look at who are running away from her. Professional women. They understand her politics. It is just empty words. Obama will win the house more seats and senate more seat. Even Edwards could bring in more help than Hillary.

America wake up we do not need 8 more years of fight ourselves. While are troops are dyeing on foreign soil.

Bill and Hillary would be fight like cats and dogs over power!!

The Democratic party cannot afford to have Hillary head the ticket, she will pull the entire ticket down. That is why all the significant players in the Democratic party are coming out day after day in support of Obama. Name one significant Democratic leader that has come out in support of Hillary. The party wants the Clintons to go away and this is their way of doing it, they want the Clintons gone.

There is absolutely nothing in the world the Repugs would love more than to run against Obama.

They'd be licking their chops, and pointing out things like this:

This is big deal for Obama.

There are two reasons:

(1) Janet Napolitano is the govenor of a border state with a high latino poulations. SHe herself is not a latino, but the word that Napolitano is endorsing Obama should make ripples throughout the West and Southwest where latinos have changed the political lanscapes in "PURPLE" states like Colorado, and Nevada, where Obama was endorsed by powerhouse state unions with heavy latino membership.

(2) This flies in the face of the "gender unity" and "you go-girl politics" that Hillary, her running mate Bill, and numerous Clintonites have been trying to construct in the aftermath of Hillary's surprising victory in New Hampshire. This shows that you not a sellout to women if you support Obama, just like you not a sellout to blacks if you support Hillary and her running mate Bill (supposedly "the first black president" - supposedly).

One more point: Napolitano is a RED STATE Democrat whose sees the wisdom of PURPLE POLITICS. And as a Dem in a RED STATE, she has had to utilize this approach. Obama's record as a pragmamtic PURPLE politician no doubt appealed to her. And, I'm sure she knows Obama has been an elected politician longer than Hillary (12 years), and has created more legislation.

Way to go Gov. Napolitano. Good choice.

these endorsments by other politicians mean nothing. i have never once in my life thought hmm i wonder who my governor likes for president before voting. endorsements from unions are different they do mean something clearly research by the union has been done to determine which candidate will benefit their union and the members are likely to vote accordingly. again the MSM is wrong to claim these endorsements fromother politicans mean anything.

This is great news for Obama. Napolitano is one of the most respected governors in the nation and would be a terrific choice for the national ticket in her own right. She is also absolutely correct.

The Clintons have been feeding at the public trough long enough. Neither of them has held a real job in the private sector so they're used to spending our taxes. I think it's the height of hubris that HRC is the candidate for change. She is a poster girl for everything I don't want in a President.

Keep flying high Obama, for time and chance is given equally to everymankind. You are so inspiring and you are creating hope in the hearts of millions not only in America but across the world.

Folks, this is no big deal. I remember going to a Democratic event here in Arizona back in 2006 and Gov Napalitano and Bill Clinton were the headliners. Bill's popularity to the Governor is like comparing Oprah to Maury.

I think quite a few million Americans will be voting for THEIR choice--not the choice of "celebrities". These endorsements are much ado about nothing until people start acting like it's the concert of the month with scarce tickets so everyone rushes to stand in line. They want to be a part of history. I wish there was someone running for president that didn't sound like another "Slick Willie". Male or female, the same old rhetoric.

Speaking of endorsing Obama, I was accosted by a nutjob today asking me about his religion (he also misprounounced Obama's name). Then he launched into some talking points schpeel about Obama's church not recognizing the US Government. Funny, but I didn't see that anywhere on their website. Having a viewpoint about supporting African causes (a version of negritude I suppose) and wanting to engage in self-help of one's own community is not the same thing. No more than people of my parent's age/town belonging to the Polish Falcon camp. What a rube.

Unfortunately, I didn't know enough about it to understand what the hell he was talking about. I do now.
