Clinton: No Woman Is Illegal

People in the Las Vegas neighborhood saw all the cameras and trucks and buses and police on the streets Thursday, and they began to trickle out of their houses to find out what was going on. Soon, as a sherbet-orange desert sunset filled the sky, they got their answer, as New York Sen. Hillary Clinton began walking up the street of low-slung houses near Eastern and Washington avenues, accompanied by the area's representative, state Assemblyman Ruben Kihuen.

...A man shouted through an opening in the wall that his wife was illegal. "No woman is illegal," Clinton said, to cheers....

..."He was a part-time state senator for a few years, and then he came to the Senate and immediately started running for president," she said. "And that's his prerogative. That's his right. But I think it is important to compare and contrast our records."

Late update: In a July 2007 New York Times' story, Obama described his role in the Illinois Senate as part-time.

"He was a part-time state senator for a few years, and then he came to the Senate and immediately started running for president"

As opposed to the woman who started running for president the day she became first lady.

Its easy to tell who the repugs are here. The posts are filled with the kind of hate , insults and lies they memorize from Limbaugh and his ilk.

“Hi I'm Elian Gonzalez. Remember me?"

There’s no way corrupt Hillary wins any Hispanic votes.

The Clintons are looking for their lost youth, and, in so doing have lost their dignity and self respect.

Amazing that he admitted this fact. I wonder in what context?

If by chance HRC were to win this thing and serve 2 terms that would mean that a Bush or Clinton would be in the executive branch for 36 consecutive years (1980 - 2016). Out of the hundreds of millions of people living in the U.S. that's the best that we can do? People running our country from 2 families? That does not sit well with me. It seems un-American. We can do better and deserve better. Please spread Barack's message of hope and change!

oligarchy:
1. a. Government by a few, especially by a small faction of persons or families.b. Those making up such a government.
2. A state governed by a few persons.

I came across this reader's comment in the Washington Post this morning, and it raises an interesting question:

"Why isn't there more media coverage of Obama's lying on his resume?

"If Hillary, Edwards, or anyone else did, it would be splashed all over the front page.

"Since its Obama, "the annointed one", it gets totally buried.

"The fact is that Obama lied on his resume and claimed that he had been a "law professor" when in fact he had been a non-tenure track lecturer, which is a "temp" position.

"It's like the person who sweeps out the operating room claiming to be a brain surgeon.

"This is a big deal.

"It will be interesting to see how long it takes the mainstream press to pick up on it."

If by some terrible chance Obama wins the nod, the republicans will rip him apart for his white mother, his father who has 4 muslim wives, the ofc he held in illinois where he won because he ran unopposed, his ridiculous comments that he was against the war, when that slimy comment is intentionally said the way he says it to make people think he was in washington and voted against the war, which is NOT true.

Obama was not in washington and he wasn't a senator when our congressmen were given partial documents to look over the iraq resolution.. the "resolution" was NOT a directive to go to war.. it was a "resolution" and there were MANY restrictions and adjustments to it.. when the "resolution" was signed there were over 200 in favor, almost everyone signed this "resolution" which was NOT permission to declare war.. This utter bullshit of everyone acting like hillary signed it all by herself and she personally sent our military over there is bullshit.

Obama is a great orator, arrogant and an empty suit.. If he sadly wins the nod, the right will decimate him.

I love to see all the right wing media on tv whine about the women in NH that helped her win there.. yeh, look at all these women!

Read the rest of that article she's apparently quoting from, especially the paragraphs that immediately follow:

Lets see ...

Obama was a part-time state Senator from Illinois (a state he happened to live in) for 8 years previous to running for the US Senate in Illinois ...

While Hillary was never a legislator before going to the US Senate from New York (a State she moved to the year before she ran for Senate), but was the First Lady (not a Cabinet position) for 8 years ... hmmm.

I guess it depends what the meaning of "experience" is.

And while Obama is accused of becoming a US Senator in order to run for President ... Clinton started running for President while she was First Lady and ran to be US Senator from New York so she could rub elbows with wealthy Wall Street and Corporate donors who would help bankroll her Presidential run.

You see, there is a risk associated with attacking from your weakness, Senator Clinton.

Silly over used terms like "hiding in the shadows' and 'there are no illegal human beings' only beings a tear to the eye of those stupid enough to use them. If someone breaks our immigration laws, steal someones identity, not file taxes, drive without a license then they are a criminals BECAUSE they are BREAKING THE FUCKING LAW hence are illegal immigrants.

I hope the democrats run on illegal immigration reform. I hope they have forgotten how the taste was knocked out of their mouths last summer trying to ram this down out throats.

What is she talking about. No women is illegal. If you enter this country and you are a women spy, I guess you are not illegal. It dose not make any since. If you are a women, man, green, blue, pink, red, purple or from mars, you are not legal in this country with out going through the emigration process. If someone broke into your house then you accuse them of illegal entry, Is she saying they broke no law. So we need to free a lot of American people who broken into home and businesses around the country. Yeah free them all.

Feminist attitude that men are illegal and women are illegal. If Hillary becomes president expect more feminized (man bad, woman good) legislation.

Like America does not feminized enough.

I certainly hope everyone here at HuffPo appreciates the headline, and Hillary's response that "No Woman Is Illegal"...a statement first made in prior debates by Dennis Kucinich.

Discussing the "illegal immigrants" issue, which everyone at the debates responded to, it was only Kucinich who pointed out they were "undocumented...not illegal...there are no illegal human beings!!"

Go ahead and get petty with your "American laws say they are illegal" blah, blah, blah.

The point is, Kucinich was the only one to put it in a different prospective. How it is a mind-set to look at people as undocumented, and not belittle fellow human beings by terming them as illegal life forms.
