Howard Stern Trashes Imus: "I Knew He Was A Racist Back Then"

Howard Stern appeared on The Late Show last night and used the opportunity to, among other things, trash Don Imus. "Radio has completely died since I left," he told David Letterman, noting that the big news in radio is Don Imus' return. "They resurrected him like a mummy, I can't even believe he's back," Stern said. "I knew he was a racist back then. I've been screaming for 20 years the guy's a racist. He was screaming the n-word in the halls."

for what it's worth...ba­ck in 1987 or '88, Imus was running high (no pun intended as this was just after his celebrated rehab)on WNBC. Joey Reynolds had just joined the staff as replacement for Stern. Within days, Imus is on the phone with Reynolds. Reynolds began to goad Imus into saying "Nigger". Ol' Turkey Neck took the bait. There was a bit of news about that. I think that there were some loud words but I don't think it went beyond that. eventually, Imus bought Reynolds a Porsche. Times have changed.

Wow! EVeryone really gets fired up defending that old dirtbag Imus. What an irrelevent piece of garbage. Old mumblemouth, hard to even hear what he's saying. As far as that cancer ranch, well....it has turned out to be a nice vacation home and tax break for him and his family. Some people like listening to Howard, some like Imus, that's easy to see by these comments, it's a matter of opinion. BUT, let's not rewrite history, the truth is Imus was in radio before Howard, but Howard started a new style of show and Imus started to change his after he heard Howard on the air and watched him becoming successful at it. And maybe you don't listen to Howard's show where, "Howard has live lesbian acts and other sexual specialties as the mainstay of his show", really, I listen almost evey day, you must not. The mainstay of his show is honesty, humor and yes, Howard Stern and what he finds funny or interesting in the world,and sometimes that does include current events, politics, sexual topics(sorry prudes)and this is shocking..­lesbians..­. don't like it, don't bother listening. The show is for grown ups and those with a sense of humor. Stick with Imus if you can't understand that.

I see this as pure envy on Howard's part and it's probably rooted in old radio rivalry. The truth is Howard doesn't talk about anything substantial in his program the way Imus does always on top of current events, especially politics (which I love about the old Imus program). Don Imus is not a racist and he's done more for different ethnic children that Howard ever has. Don has done more for Veterans, got that big hospital thing build. He's got the ranch for cancer children. Don was fucking railroaded by that piece of shit Al Sharpton and an over sensitive piece of shit basketball team. Nappy headed hoes. Don was contributing to the imagery that Berny conjured up of a prison whore. Nappy headed whore was the imaginary prison woman Berny was joking about not the actual basketball players... why would I even have to explain this. Grow up.
