Howard Stern On Letterman
Howard Stern appeared on The Late Show last night and used the opportunity to, among other things, trash Don Imus. "Radio has completely died since I left," he told David Letterman, noting that the big news in radio is Don Imus' return. "They resurrected him like a mummy, I can't even believe he's back," Stern said. "I knew he was a racist back then. I've been screaming for 20 years the guy's a racist. He was screaming the n-word in the halls."

Watch, as Stern mocks Imus for his ratings, his wrinkles, and his racism:

Howard Stern appeared on Letterman last night and declared the death of radio since he left for satellite. He also took the opportunity to trash Imus: "I knew he was a racist back then, I was screaming for 20 years." http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1370868199http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1178199204

Howard from the outreaches of media, comes flying in to bash Imus. Howard lost his audience and his relevance when he signed with satellite. Now the only thing he can do for attention is talk Imus.

This clown Stern whose audience consists of pimple faced teens giggling at women says something, and that's all you need to know?
Duh...after you start shaving stern will hold less influence over you, unless you still giggle.

For the record I would take what Stern has to say with a grain of salt. He uses the n-word and other slurs for humor all the time. He doesn't get any flack about it because he keeps Robin on. You see she's black so it's all okay in the lunatic asylum of Howard Stern's inner circle.

I'm not a fan of Imus, OR Stern. Racist, sexist, what's the difference?

Could one of Stern's female fans pipe up and tell me he's not a sexist?

I certainly have not been able to listen to him because of the way he refers to women, it's revolting.

Whoever transfered that did a terrible job with the sound. Huffpo should have higher standards.

Re Imus: He likes to make offensive jokes. He's not a bad person, he just likes to make jokes.

Wow! When Howard Stern says Imus is a racist, people listen---they pay attention. So, the question remains, if Imus is what Stern believes him to be and goes on a national TV program an shouts it to the world, why does Imus' new employer continue to give him a forum? And why does the new employer bring on Bernard McGuirk, the guy who tries to make racial slurs fashionable dinner repartee?
Imus, McGuirk and especially Charles McCord, the self-professed Bible studies student/holier-than-thou sycophant who enables Imus, should take their medicine and leave the stage.
Stern knows Imus MO too well to pull his punches.
One the really bright side, if Imus leaves the air, the free world will never have to see or hear about that demon-seed/Chucky-doll kid of Imus, Wyatt, ever again!!!

I like Imus. Imus is the one of the few with enormous media clout to call Bush and Cheney war criminals. His candor and honesty compels me to overlook his other shortcomings

If he's known this for so long then why didnt he push to have his racist ass fired years ago? Possibly because Howard didn't want to lose out on the millions that Imus was making per year?

I don't understand how idiots listen to Imus.

Howard just said the jerk used the N word around the workplace. Nice of his employers to keep him around.

Bingo! Another Letterman story. Way to go Huff Post. Should we expect one per day, again, for the next three weeks???

If only Howard would tell us the juicy stuff we don't ALREADY KNOW. Still funny just the same.
