Blackwater Repainted Trucks Immediately After Bagh

AP:

Blackwater Worldwide repaired and repainted its trucks immediately after a deadly September shooting in Baghdad, making it difficult to determine whether enemy gunfire provoked the attack, according to people familiar with the government's investigation of the incident.

Damage to the vehicles in the convoy has been held up by Blackwater as proof that its security guards were defending themselves against an insurgent ambush when they fired into a busy intersection, leaving 17 Iraqi civilians dead.

People like to promote the U.S. as a country of God - but the reality is that we are country of LAW. And no one is above the LAW. That is the strength of civilized society - but the hiring of Blackwater to undermine accountability is another disgusting end-around move by the George Cheney Administration.

If any one of the candidates, left or right, came out and said they would work to give Blackwater the corporate death penalty, they would have my vote.

Mass murder, cover up, lying, destroying evidence ... yes I believe that was in the Gospel of Matthew.

Jesus said do unto the unarmed innocents as you would to flees, kill them all and then cover your ass.

Blackwater: the Christian Militia for every American Aryan Nation terrorist who believes in the killin Jesus.

Oh yes and Blackwater the militia & its staff are now gunrunners aswell: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22598582/

If Steven Spielberg himself had made a move about an evil christian militia that is killing civilians at will with the blessing and protection of the United States government and active in the arms trade that is arming different factions to kill eachother and to kill Americans in war zones, I would call him crazy.

I just spoke with a serviceman who recently returned from Iraq. He said that he and his fellow serviceman were FORBIDDEN to make even the most remote criticism of Bush, and during the November election, those servicepersons who voted Democrat were "disciplined." So much for voting privacy in the military. When you join today's military, you get a real taste of what it is like to live in a totalitarian regime.

Just like the Bush administration and its supporters, always trying to hide evidence of criminal activity. What a bunch of COWARDS!
We The People need to make sure that Bush, Cheney, and others find out the REAL meaning of what goes around, comes around. Whatever It Takes.

The Secretary of State should be on top of this. Instead, it appears she is ducking for cover. The FBI, a national investigative body, is in another country acting as if they are the lead agency on this matter. How does the FBI get jurisdiction in Iraq? These 17 Iraqis have been dead for quite some time now and it appears to me that Americans are not going to clear this up in any forthright manner. The Iraqis should be investigating a crime of this magnitude in their own country and if they find Blackwater folks at fault in this matter, Blackwater needs to be subject to Iraqi law. Finally, if Iraq is the great democracy that George has built, why, if the Iraqis want Blackwater out of their land, can't kick them out?

Blackwater is the Corporate's Army- We have been robbed to build and are feeling the effects of their actions.
Why are we allowing this privatization of our armed services?
These are profiteers & mercenaries who use our money, reputation and ultimately cause the spilling of more of OUR blood!
I want them to be seen for the independent entity they are - THEY ARE NOT OUR PEOPLE AND ARE NOT UNDER OUR DIRECTION NOR PROTECTION.
At this point the Iraqi resistance is free to target these Independent contractors all they want. They are people who are willing to kill with out regard for some 'big bucks'.
You'll know the differnece immediately-
Blackwater all the toys and bells & whisltels you can think of to creat WAr.
OUR Guys are the ones with no body armor, no reinforced vehicles and are trying to reduce the violence, not encourage it (they don't make shit for pay and just want to get the place quiet enough to finally come home)
OUr guys are handing our chocolate to the kids- Balckwater Employees are the ones shooting them in the head.
Should their be a Blackwater Spouse on line-
Tell your spouse to get a new job, this is treason and we will go after Blackwater and all the greedy SOB's who've chosen top work for them.

First we have assault, then we have murder, and now we have tampering with evidence. God bless America.

I can't possibly believe that there were 17 Iraqi citizens killed and the State Department is going to do nothing about it? The Secretary of State needs to be in the forefront of this investigation. Instead I hear the FBI is investigating an international crime? How do they get the jurisdiction to be investigating crimes in a foreign country? Is this not what the Iraqis should be doing in their own land? As to the Secretary of State she has definitely been low profile on this matter. It makes it appear that Ms. Rice is ducking for cover. The 17 dead need their justice to come from their own system not the FBI operating way outside their jurisdiction and proper venue.

Blackwater has provided unverifiable photos of the damage to the '20/20 Hindsight' investigation'.

The State Dept is not confirming it 'okayed' the repairs to place these vehicles back in service.

Sounds mighty 'fishy' to me.

Obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence... these repairs don't eliminate the possibility of criminal proceedings.

Maybe Blackwater murdered those and many other people, maybe they habitually rape women, maybe they do all sorts of horrific things. The one definite among all of these maybes is that they are absolutely harming the already unlikely goal of achieving a stable, pro-American regime in Iraq. Their actions, regardless of any justifications they invent afterwards, are fomenting violence that is costing American and Iraqi lives. They need to be removed from Iraq before their actions cause any more real or perceived harm. Maybe the next administration will be more willing to prosecute them for their war crimes.

MITT ROMNEY-BLACKWATER TIES

"News reports on Iraq's Interior Ministry ordering security firm Blackwater USA to leave the country following the deaths of at least eight Iraqi civilians have continued to ignore Blackwater USA vice chairman Cofer Black's role as chairman of Mitt Romney's counterterrorism policy advisory group."
